Good to see Tottenham playing a near on full strength team so the run that AP's on shall hopefully continue.

Tbf if you include cup games it's only two defeats in three since their last win. It's the league where they have fallen apart. Still hope they are on the end of a hammering today.

Get that title changed!

Media will be clamouring for him to take the England job now.  The fact that Palace have been utter AIDS in the league will be conveniently forgotten about...

I've noticed Sky normally pick two s**** teams when there's another major sporting event (Ryder Cup for example), almost as if they use up one of their 'contract' matches at a time people will watch something else anyway. There's bound to be some cricket or boxing that they'd rather have people watch that evening.

Watching Sky Sports News this morning, apparently some boxing PPV event on at the same time as their match with WBA. Don't think I'm far off with this.

Alan Pardew, Newcastle United

2010-14

Guilty by association, London boy Pardew was tarred with the same brush as despised Newcastle owner Mike Ashley. This despite leading Newcastle into Europe with a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League in his first full season. After those heady days in 2011/12, though, Pardew's Newcastle were a picture of frustrating ineptitude. This was occasionally punctuated by brief winning streaks, always just long enough to prevent real relegation trouble but never long enough to actually enjoy, or suggest the club was making any progress. Subjected to torrents of abuse from the St James' Park crowd, Pardew fled south to return to Crystal Palace in January 2015.
