Klaus
I'm sure the wooden spoon with 'finished 17th' engraved on the side, will fit nicely in his trophy cabinet next to his other honours.
Shelveys Hair
I wonder what we used to do in training under Carver, Stone and Woodman Seen a couple Palace fans claiming Woodman has ruined their keeper. All Iv ever wanted from a manager is someone who can analyze a game and say here your shiit at this, get working on this. Its the least you would expect from Premier League managers and coaches, but how jobs for the boys is still in the game in 2016 is unbelievable. Mick
If he keeps us up he'll finally have this relegation experience on his CV, he'll have his pick of relegation battles going forward. Exactly. If we stay up, spend big in the summer and the club is transformed over the next couple of years into one regularly challenging for Europe then who knows, he could land himself the Middlesbrough or Hull job. He'll have the world at his feet and will be able to walk into any job.

Comes across as a really down to earth hard working guy.
Paully
Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez to shun grand entrance as he looks for players to become heroes http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/newcastle-boss-rafa-benitez-shun-7587763
Dave
Benitez arrival has lifted the mood on Tyneside as well as delivered a boss with a world class CV. Townsend added: “Yes it was a surprise to the player as well. I think until you are here no one realises what a big club Newcastle is. When you attract a manager who was at Real Madrid nine weeks ago, that just shows it. “I am excited to work with a manager who has coached the best, won everything in the game, managed huge games. I hope this is going to be a successful partnership. “He has won everything the game has to offer. If we can just survive this season then the future will be bright.”

LoveItIfWeBeatU
Jason Roberts on Football Focus said he'd rather have Big Sam as manager for a Relegation battle. I bet Benitez will be desperate to keep NUFC up so he can remove the blemish from his CV of not having been in and won a Relegation battle before. BillClinton
Almost like saying that you'd rather have Jason Roberts in a relegation battle than Aguero

Scotty66
Jason Roberts The whole point of trying to survive a relegation battle is needing a manager who wins games, as that kind of helps in that situation.

loki679
Has anyone in a relegation battle ever tried hiring a top class manager rather than the perennial losers? Could be onto a winner.

Figures 1-0 Football
I seem to remember Fulham hired Felix Magath because he was full of 'relegation experience' and had never been relegated.
jackyboy
I really think that Rafa wants us to stay up so that he can stay and get his real plans into motion. I just think that he already loves this club
