Dokko
Beyond 3 or 4 first teamers our huge squad that the media crow about is bang average. We're 2nd and have won plenty of games. We're as close, if not closer to winning the thing as lapsing into third We've hit a significant blip and a win tomorrow could change things for the better again. Ashley has decided to destablise things but for Rafa's part he is working hard and has the nous to get through this period. There are some who are needlessly losing it - the off pitch stuff is clearly a bigger worry for me. That bang average squad hasn't been helped by some of the shite Rafa has brought in. Money might have been available if it wasn't wasted so freely in the summer.
Shays Given Tim Flowers
Funny enough I think, if we go up, he will get money to spend. They have just taken a massive and unnecessary gamble by not signing anyone now. Agreed. I don't know how you reconcile the two, though. If they are prepared to finance a strong team for the PL, surely now would be a good time to buy and integrate one or two players of that standard? Think it's down to our owner loving to gamble. Dave
That's f***ing carr in his ear no doubt. Carr has done more damage than this club than pardew did. I think this might actually be referring to Pardew. Thought the same tbh.
The College Dropout
Better example is Hughton. A fine Championship manager. Potentially a decent PL manager. That's his ceiling.
BlackandWhite
Fuck. Just seen his interview yesterday. It really is only a matter of time before he walks away. He feels understandably let down. Similar reason why Keegan left, lies and broken promises. Fuck the owners of this club. This club will never be anything until Ashley is fucking gone and he won't be until he chokes on his pie one day. Appreciate having a good manager while it lasts lads, won't be the case too much longer.
Paulie Walnuts
The crowd really needs to back the team. Rafa said it again his press conference, Booing and getting on players' backs isn't going to help one iota, just makes 'the loyalist football supporters the world has ever had' look fickle and like the prawn sandwich brigade. Yep. I was there last night and it was as bad as the crowd has been this season....just moaning and groaning at any failed pass. loads of pro-rafa chants

The rest of the stadium was completely dead. Like they expected to just show up and stroll to victory. The crowd?

toon25
It doesn't matter a hot if we go up or stay down whilst that fat cunt is still running the show. It's the same fucking story time after time and time. Nothing is going to change regardless of the manager.
Yorkie
Score in the first minute and the crowd thinks we should be 4-0 up at half-time; so if it's still 1-0 after 15 minutes they get restless. It was similar in the Ipswich game earlier in the season. Just moaning and whinging for no good reason.

Guest neesy111
Well despite going ahead yesterday QPR dominated the first 15 minutes of the match in terms of chances. Wasn't just the crowd that thought going 1-0 up was game over, players clearly did.

I was at that game, didn't think the atmosphere was too bad personally, it wasn't a cauldron of noise by any stretch, but it wasn't particularly. Admittedly that was only the second time i've been to St James, so maybe my perspective was squed slightly.

I think it was more the lazy play, misplaced passes and utterly shocking first half as it wore on (40 seconds in aside) that had a massive factor in things to give the crowd some credit. Wasn't just the crowd that thought going 1-0 up was game over, players clearly did. Classic case of them being able to immediately forget about it and start again, whereas we looked like we thought it would be easy. The number of times we were caught in possession was criminal.
