Newcastle United 1 - 1 Manchester City - Post-match relief from p.39

Disagree with the criticism of Cisse. He's been a constant nuisance and flicked on some really smart balls. Mitrovic later on.

Aye, agree. Good movement in the box before the goal as well, created space for Anita by keeping both CBs occupied and would have scored the tap in had it gone off the post.

Been a good first half, looked solid at the back, their frontline hasn't stepped up a gear yet, I hope they don't later on.

We've been strong in the tackle, gets the crowd behind them. Ayoze has shirked a few challenges but played well. Get Mitro on for Cisse, although he has closed down well. Awful touch though.

Cisse is never very good when he has to play that far away from his goal. I assume Rafa wants Mitrovic to be fresher than the defenders when he comes on. As long as we are still in the game before he's thrown on it can work. Hopefully we can have a Wijnaldum who bothers coming on and actually making runs once Perez tires as well. I know it might be wishful thinking but a Wijnaldum who gives a crap can finish this game for us together with mitro.

Colback has been absolutely terrible. It's like when he has the ball he avoids space and runs into players, he also does that thing Smith used to do that when someone is in trouble and passes to him he one-touch passes it back.

That last ball Sissoko was about to run away with wasn't out either was it? This linesman is the only thing worse than Colback.

Agree. Has been fairly stranded for the most part too.

Proof you're wrong for once right there Dave.

Zzzzzz

Man City definitely look vulnerable. They're playing with their usual style against lower ranked teams - like 80% ought to be enough.

Tiote, apart from one poor mistake, is doing a good job.

Surely City won't be that shite second half, Darlow has had fuck all to do and the linesman has been their best player.

That said we've put the effort in. He goal come at a good time as we were starting to lack intensity and it gave everyone some belief.

Now let's wait for City to have their inevitable 5 goals in 5 minutes at the start of the second half.

We've actually been the better team here, really hope we can keep it going.

Bonus that City started such a strong team, they don't actually have the usual range of terrifying sub options.
