toon25
Didn't King turn us down to join Blackburn? Wasn't that that cunt Junior Toilet who's now tearing it up at the mighty Cardiff under Colin Wanker?
Dokko
Didn't King turn us down to join Blackburn? Wasn't that that cunt Junior Toilet who's now tearing it up at the mighty Cardiff under Colin Wanker? Na, it was certainly him. 2012 ish under Pardew. Found this, http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11678/8133382/newcastle-united-linked-with-transfer-bid-for-manchester-uniteds-joshua-king couple of sources saying we we're looking in to him, but remember that BR ITK saying he turned us down before BR finalised the deal. duo
Maguire & Robertson would be a good start. Haven't Hull let in the most goals in the Premier League?

BeloEmre
Maguire & Robertson would be a good start. Haven't Hull let in the most goals in the Premier League? Not as many as Clark and Villa last season. And Clark has only played well in The Championship.
Mole_Toonfan
Defence is completely a team effort, because their team record isn't great doesn't mean they are not individually good players. ( i don't know either way) If there's one thing Rafa excells at it would be putting a team together which is organised and make them defend at a high level. ponsaelius
Jakupovic is poor. Genuinely no better than any of our current goalies. Before his little run of form this season he was seen as a joke figure to Hull fans.
ponsaelius
I can actually comment on most of his career funnily enough. My other half is from the same canton in Switzerland as him and he played for the same youth teams as relatively close friends. He's basically a local celebrity so his career was always followed closely. He also played for Lokomotiv Moscow who a good friend supports and he never established himself as first choice there. He's basically been a journeyman for most of his career, and was 2nd and 3rd choice at Hull until this season. Although he was highly rated as a young kid in the Swiss set-up way back. Figures 1-0 Football
Maguire would be an upgrade on most of our current CBs. Would be happy with him. Saw rumours of Morgan from Leicester today, that'd be fucking horrific - such a clogger.
Segun Oluwaniyi
Maguire would be an upgrade on most of our current CBs. Would be happy with him. Saw rumours of Morgan from Leicester today, that'd be f***ing horrific - such a clogger. He is an archetype of a player that NUFC has been lacking for some time. Physicality at centreback has been a continual weakness since Faye left about a decade ago. Age and general lack of talent are an issue, though. ponsaelius
Why do so many want Joshua King? Take away 2017 and he have 15 goals in 150 games or something. Cisse mk2. Yes please.

Stottie
Why do so many want Joshua King? Take away 2017 and he have 15 goals in 150 games or something. Cisse mk2. He's not an out and out striker, nowt like Cisse. Would suit Rafas number 10 position beautifully. Based on the transfermarkt website alone, it looks like King has been playing both as a lone striker and as #10 in a 4-2-3-1. This means he could be bought ostensibly as #10, but also used as competition/injury backup for Gayle in the striker role. It sounds like he can play off the shoulder. This would let us buy another, more defensive #10, a Sigurdsson type who can link play and contribute defensively but can't actually play up top. In this situation, you'd have King as an upgrade on Perez and the Sigurdsson type as an upgrade on Diame. In simple terms, that is.
Cronky
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-transfers-how-benitez-13030991 Says Rafa wants 7 to 10 new players. Looking to loan some of the new players to get the most value from his budget. said yesterday can see a few loans with obligations to buy the following summer when the TV money actually rolls in Wouldn't be against loans for Loftus Cheek and Ake like. Of course, there are disadvantages with loans, but Rafa might well be looking to the long term. Some of the better players may be reluctant to commit themselves long-term to a newly promoted side, and we can end up instead with a lot of signings on long-term contracts who won't be able to achieve more than just keeping us up. We then won't be able to afford to push on from that point, and will end up falling back. To an extent, that's what's happened before. A few loan signings can help us develop whilst still giving us some flexibility in the longer term. That may be Rafa's thinking.
