54 Posted July 20, 2022 Share Posted July 20, 2022 On a serious note, I never really took to Gayle for some reason, maybe because in the Premier League he offered nothing, but he always gave his all, never seemed discontented despite being on the fringes the last few years, and his goals got us promoted, so wish him well, it's a good step for him. Brilliant in the Championship season and basically the key factor in getting us back up IMO. Games like Norwich at home showed incredible striking ability when we needed it desperately. Unfortunately, like many others leaving this summer, he was kept on too long and it has soured things. Glad and actually quite surprised it is a permanent deal.
