Gone from being a player who I really disliked to one of my favourites at the moment. I think it was Tooj posted a few weeks ago how he can conserve his energy much better in CM rather than behind the striker and this allows him to press in the right areas. He's been superb recently

He’s like a shit Dembele for us, so hard to knock off the ball, relieves pressure, carries it well and is arguably after Lascelles our best and most important player. Unreal turn around. Happy for him as he seems a good egg.

Absolutely love him like, he looks so clumsy too which makes it even better that he’s playing so well.

Completely underrated by the media like, who concentrate on Shelvey’s passing but completely ignore this guy. He has been much more pivotal to our form than anyone else imo, we were desperate for a CM of his type to compliment Shelvey.

Can't underestimate how much our recent solidity is down to his dropping back into the midfield 2. Been superb since he went there makes you wonder why he hadn't been tried there for real earlier after looking Ok there on a couple of occasions last season.

Probably because he wouldn't last a season playing the way he's playing right now. (intensity wise.)

Not same kind of players, though.

Remember getting laughed at for suggesting starting him in centre mid a few months ago. Needless to say, I've had the last laugh

Cool story, can't wait to read the book 'Bouncing Back'

Yeah. Well you could end some of your chapters with “Needles to say… I took drugs”.

His performances have been meteoric, he is all over the place and covers everywhere. He is full of confidence at the minute and playing at such a high standard I fear he might actually leave the atmosphere.

The way he seems to just ease players off the ball and carry it away is bafflingly good compared to where he was at before. Comparing his current form to the likes of Kante when he first arrived isn't even a million miles off which is crazy really.

Let's not get carried away now

I know, I know. I by no means think he's as good obviously, he's just playing that sort of role for us at the moment really effectively.

You really have got a lot of issues.

Harsh, just because he's Irish there's no need for that.

what a form, where did that come from? Impressive how many balls he is winning also in key areas!

Aye, that's the thing that has stood out most for me - must be an absolute bastard to play against, the way he gets right in the opposition's faces. Bit like peak Tiote but without the constant fouls.
