Skeletor
Nah. He's one of the first names on the team sheet now.

Guest Howaythetoon
I'd have sent him packing based on what we got last year and I still think Murphy would be a better option but he's been a different player to last season. Deserves his place. I don't think Rafa quite trusted him to start, but I think he showed enough in cameos to suggest he can handle the Premier League. He's quick, direct, good feet and seems a real threat. I thought he was very good against Spurs, but poor against Huddersfield. I haven't seen today, but by all accounts he played very well as did the whole team it seems.
AyeDubbleYoo
He's more intelligent than a lot of wingers as well, rarely runs into a dead end.
TRon
He's more intelligent than a lot of wingers as well, rarely runs into a dead end. You can tell that in his finishing, he's quite cool one on one. That free kick at the end of last season as well....absolutely lush.
Twinport53
He plays some lovely deft back heels and touches, before spinning in behind to receive it in space. 1 assist and counting.
hvuge
This thread needs a bump! Great shift today and a good goal. Always looks dangerous on the counter. Lovely interview on the website aswell.
Tiresias
Prolly should have shot earlier in the incident leading to the pen claim. Now maybe someone can correct me on the rules, but if Zouma did get the ball a bit as the ref claimed, and I think he may have from replays, he didn't seem to take the ball away from Atsu regardless, and the move was ended not by him losing the ball from the tackle but by being taken out. Presuming Zouma disappeared at that moment it looked like Atsu was still through. The pundits seemed to suggest merely touching the ball enough for it not to be a foul, but I presume winning the ball implies taking it away from Atsu. ponsaelius
Love this wee fucker. Turning out to be a very shrewd signing.
loki679
Love this wee fucker. Turning out to be a very shrewd signing. Atsu, Merino and Joselu for a combined £18m. That's one Kevin Wimmer
AyeDubbleYoo
I've definitely been pleasantly surprised, I was probably 50/50 whether we should sign him or not.
hakka
Atsu is another one some didn't believe he would be worth signing. He's been very effective so far, looks a steal with how he's handling the Prem.
Willow
He's been excellent for us. Always looking to go forward and make something happen.
TRon
Goals are worth their weight in gold. Can you imagine Damien Duff or Obertan making that run to the far post?
Pilko
You could see with him in the last 5-6 games of the Championship season that it had started to click. Great signing at the price we paid; and clearly using him in rotation last season has allowed him to bed in and gradually improve his game without too much pressure on him. Willow
He's settled and on a permanent contract, rather than endless loans, so we're seeing the benefits of that. Plus he has Arrons and Murphy for competition too, so it keeps them all on their toes.
Mole_Toonfan
Always thought he'd do well tbh, mainly because in the PL he'd get a lot more space which so far is very much the case.

Twinport53
Bodes well Rafa would rather play an injured Atsu over Murphy or Aarons.
Jimburst
Would hopefully suggest why he's not been particularly effective the last few weeks.
Infinitely Content
A chance for Murphy to step in and get his chance. Great this having depth in the squad thing. Whose bright idea was that? Genius, hope other teams don't twig onto it.
Guest firetotheworks
Bodes well Rafa would rather play an injured Atsu over Murphy or Aarons. 12 months ago you could have quite easily said that it bodes well that Rafa would rather play an injured Gouffran over Atsu. I think Rafa just likes to take his time with players who aren't ready yet.
Sho Time
Would like to see Aarons have more game time over Murphy tbh. Rafa knows best, though.
xLiaaamx
Considering both Ritchie and Atsu have pulled out of their national squads they might both get their chance.
