It’s a win win.

Man United get another big name so they can keep up the air of them being a big club.

Madrid get rid of a player who would be phased out over the next year. And get his peak value.

And the player gets his pension.

its good for us as well as the notion of the Glazers and Ashley being comparable takes another blow.

Lose for us when Real buy Bruno

Exactly, would you rather live in the Gaudi buildings or a flat in Rusholme?

They all seem to be dotted around the South Trafford/North Cheshire area—some of the most affluent pockets outside the Home Counties stockbroker belt. I think he would probably fit right in as a Rusholme Ruffian though!

@Froggy what on Earth is the deal with van de Beek?!

He did so well for ten Haag at Ajax. Thought he'd be straight into the team, but Fred and McTominay are ahead of him.

No manager ever puts him on the pitch since he joined. What's the deal?

IMHO Donny van der Beek was never that good and the Ajax system carried him. Similar case to Davy Klaassen who also failed at Everton but looked a good player at Ajax before and after.

iirc that mad season they and he had he basically hit a run of goalscoring form after being moved further upfield later in the season (can't remember why, someone injured maybe) ... he was timing runs well and just being in and around the right areas to score goals ... he didn't make his name as a CM or playmaker or whatever people are trying to play him as since

That's an atrocious fucking way to go about it.

That is ridiculous. Gibbs white is Steve cooper’s favourite tho so he must have pushed hard for him. He’s played for him through the youth teams at different levels so huge amount of trust there.

the team will probably be built around him.

way overpriced it seems tho. Nffc not messing around, paying the going rate to get their man. I like the level of conviction even if it does seem overly scattergun.

surely they won’t get aouar now

Actually, signing 16 players in the summer and still having Colback in your starting 11 makes it even more atrocious. What a shit show.
