This whole MGW business is so weird.

 

Obviously all speculation but:

 

Release clause but he's said he'd only leave for certain clubs anyway.

 

The owner doesn't think Tottenham are that level. But so what? 

 

But he's going after MGW agent for supposedly disclosing the release clause.

 

Does he hold a misplaced grudge against Tottenham because of the Johnson business that led to the points deduction or what? Strange guy

Suspect he may want to do a deal with Man City to mutually avoid PSR issues. Maybe he's just a bit of a twat. Who knows? MGW and his wife clearly have enough on their plate right now which might be why we're not forcing the issue yet.

 

Still amuses me that he's still officially pretending he's not in charge :lol:

Honestly hope Forest really struggle this season. Never found them to be likeable anyway but this Marinakis guy is a total arsehole.

Forests ceiling is much higher than where they finished. Spurs have a lot more potential than that. Also spurs will pay him a lot more.

Chelsea are ridiculous. 

It was nice to be ahead of them while it lasted. 

So unsustainable it's a joke. 

Just think - how many players they've stockpiled which we've previously been linked to? Even just two of them would have been a big difference to us, and is meaningless to them. 

Andrey Santos would have been a ready made Longstaff/Willock replacement by now. 
Disasi (probbaly a good thing in hindsight) but would give us RCB cover for Schar
Badashile (again a good thing but would be cover with Botman)
Tosin (probably better than Kelly, would have played more here)
Delap - Wilson replacement at a good price
Pedro - would have been our 10 / link player

Genuinely, when is this going to stop? Surely there comes a time when they’re going to have to start selling. Like if they don’t make CL next season. Surely. I absolutely hate them. They’re doing exactly what we were pre-accused of wanting to do post takeover. Except no one seems to care when they do it.
