We don't have this kind of midfielder in the BR League, he got some passes between the lines to his teammates that they received looking really surprised Fernandinho's assist for the 4th goal at 6:41, the 3rd goal at 3:43 is just amazingly ridiculous amazing game to have him back! We apparently had scouts in Brazil watching him and Danilo. Noticed Gomes contract is up in March of next year, so is probably available for a decent price. Do you rate him? If he’s shit it drives resentment of his wages. If he does well and they exceed expectations every other player who’s played well wants a new contract closer to what he’s getting. If the club gives in then they make it hard to move on players when they need to or they face an exodus of players going elsewhere for more money. How does the league system work in Brazil mate? Always been curious. There are ways to artificially inflate revenue (moody sponsorship deals etc) but you can’t just pump external money in for player purchases. That’s the whole point really. you can spend 400 million on players, wracking up huge debts in order to do so and then have it all payed off by a benevolent billionaire but it still needs to balance against the club revenues in a given 3 year period.
