Unnaturally rather than unrealistically, but it's by the by I suppose.

The point that's always missed is that the only reason any kind of ambition is deemed unrealistic is precisely because of Ashley.

Rafa Benitez will ask the Football Association why he was fined £60,000 for pre-match comments about a referee but Pep Guardiola escaped with a warning.

The Newcastle boss accepted an FA charge last month after he responded to claims by Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha that he was not being protected by officials.

They didn't let this man spend any money in the summer, and we might have still ended up having the best transfer window

Outstanding signings in Fernandez, Schar and Ki that have won us three on the bounce with key players from last season out with injury.

That was the very definition of the manager's tactics winning the game.  Clever system, Dyce had no idea what to do.

That would have been a masterclass in how to set up a team away from home if we had a touch of class up front. Could easily have come away with a 4-1 win. The team shape was excellent.

3 in a row. No other manager would manage that with our team/situation. :smug:

Faced constant criticism in the press early on, a ridiculously difficult start with morale sapping losses but clearly knew we could eventually turn a corner and kept the players motivated. Amazing what he does under the circumstances he faces.
