Stal
I cancelled my sky because of this odious cretin and I've just had the survey through. I have made sure that I have filled in every free text box that their love-in with the obnoxious man child is the reason I quit them.
LFEE
How the hell has match day income dropped off in the last 10 years? Id guess were the only club in that situation as well. In an ideal world we'd be able to say "Its probably because the matchday staff are getting generous yearly raises and bonuses well above inflation, which is keeping the costs high." But it's Ashley so it's safe to assume that's not happening. If I recall it’s because Ashley has out sourced everything to private companies (Programs, Catering, Bars etc) so it doesn’t matter if 1 person goes to the game or 52k go to the game the money is the same set (low) amount. So all the profits go to the private companies. I’ll not insult your intelligence further by telling you who owns these private companies and gets most of the money instead of the club being able to maximise it. All I will say is guess who wins again

Scoreboard82
Dennis Wise at it again on SSN this morning. Said some will have a go at Ashley no matter what he does. As if we're picking on poor Mike with no justification. He criticised Man Utd for them not bringing in players to close the gap on City/ keep up with Liverpool but when it came to discussing NUFC it was 'What's wrong with clever buying and selling?' or words to that effect. He went on to say 'Even Rafa said he was happy with the transfer window' overlooking the fact that Rafa can only say so much and was under an amount of duress when putting his name to that club statement last week. It's as simple as that," said Wise, who spent just over a year as an executive director early in Ashley's tenure at St James' Park "There are a lot of people out there that don't help the situation. They want to bring it onto him. "People complain about them not spending enough money but if you trade well at a football club and you're able to bring players in and take players out and make money, I don't see what the problem is with that." "I thought they competed extremely well against Spurs," Wise told Sky Sports News. "I look at Newcastle and I think they're a team who will be in a comfortable position by the end of the season. "I think Rafa's actually turned around and said they have improved their squad so that says it all really doesn't it?"

Kimbo
Dennis Wise got a punditry job on the back of bullying someone on a reality show, now he's Sky's go to man on Mike Ashley matters. Repulsive.
Guest firetotheworks
"Unfortunately whatever he does, he will constantly take stick. It's as simple as that," said the impartial Salacious B. Crumb, who worked as a jester in the court of the crime lord Jabba Desilijic Tiure during the Galactic Civil War. "There are a lot of people out there that don't help the situation. They want to bring it onto him." Crumb dribbled. "People complain about them not spending enough money but if you trade well at a football club and you're able to bring players in and take players out and make money, I don't see what the problem is with that." cackled Crumb. "I thought they competed extremely well against Spurs," Crumb told Sky Sports News. "I look at Newcastle and I think they're a team who will be in a comfortable position by the end of the season." "I think Rafa's actually turned around and said they have improved their squad so that says it all really doesn't it?" opined the grotesque monkey lizard. steve_69
So we've had Steve Parish, Fat Sam, Keys and Gray, Dennis Wise, those dickheads off Talksport and Shola so far. Not exactly a who's who of relevant, respected football figures is it! Tells you everything you need to know about Keith Bishop that that's the extent of his contacts in football. Predictions for who pipes up next?
ToonArmy1892
So was that thing about protests outside SD in other cities a joke or not? I couldn't quite work it out. Also anyone who was at the game, was the 'stand up if you hate Ashley' on a big scale? Encouraging that it happened anyway, i think trying to organise staying in the concourse for 10-15 mins before kick off, or after half time would be a decent idea for the Chelsea game, i think more people would take part in that than a walk out. HaydnNUFC
They always ask what the problem because we'll be safe this season or words to that effect. That's the issue. Rafa and the fans don't want and are fed up respectively of just survival, they want to push for more like any fan of any club wants to do. We're just expected to be happy to tread water and even regress. Utterly sick of this whole mantra.
Away Day Gadgie
Surely trying to pile people into the concourse at the same time is a health and safety risk? Some parts of the ground can barely cope with people who want to go for a piss, pint or a pie at half time.
