Various: Mike Ashley in talks with Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan

The Articles of association are the governing documents of a corporate entity - so a resolution has been passed amending them. We can see what that is in a few days when CH upload the docs themselves. Could be anything though - from changing the number of directors on the board to changing how many days’ notice is given for shareholder meetings.

I've said my bit on this. What do you do if your son/daughter wants and enjoys going to the match? They don't know how much of a knob Ashley is and to be honest they probably don't care.

I honestly admire people who boycott games particularly those with season tickets. If Ashley is still here next season I will stop going as will my son. He will be gutted though, he just wants to see Newcastle play football.

Exactly the same thing you tell him if he wants to spend his pocket money on being whipped by whores.

That’s probably far enough, now.

Boycoutters are saying to parents “No, find something else to do with your child.” Erm, could you not lose yourself in your rage (justified though it might be) so much that you tell people how to raise their children?

(I know your comment was hyperbolic nonsense, but there has been plenty that has no levity at all)

quite frankly nobody needs to explain why they go to a match or why they decide not to - if they are taking their kids or parents or friends etc. just know that whatever ticket you buy ultimately is what goes into MA's pockets and with evidence know that he doesn't use such said funds to give to Rafa, he's paying himself back.

Any due diligence experts on here?

What possibly could come up (in the books) that we don't see in the accounts the company files? I ask becauze despite be believe he doesn't want to sell, I don't understand why all of the offers are nowhere near his asking price.

It's because his asking price is not realistic

The squad and facilities all need serious investment, the only thing that's significantly increased under Ashley is the TV money and he had absolutely nowt to do with that

This. I support a boycott as much as anyone...every game in fact - such is neeeded. But it’ll have a cost and it’s a big ask.

The transfer record progression of every Premier League club

This feature reveals the last five times every Premier League club has broken their transfer record, on whom, from where and for how much. Enjoy (laughing at/pitying Newcastle)…

Newcastle United

Warren Barton – £4m (Wimbledon, June 1995)

Les Ferdinand – £6m (QPR, July 1995)

Faustino Asprilla – £6.7m (Parma, February 1996)

Alan Shearer – £15m (Blackburn, July 1996)

Michael Owen – £16m (Real Madrid, August 2005)

Fifteen current Premier League clubs have broken their transfer record at least five times since Newcastle last set theirs. Of the other five, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have broken theirs four times, while Fulham have spent more than £16m on four different players, including one from Newcastle.

Manchester United’s transfer record is the second-longest standing, a full 3,996 days after Newcastle signed Michael Owen. Good lord.

It's disgraceful. There's hundreds of millions gone missing from our club under Ashley. Would love to see someone work out how much money he's deprived the club of over all these years.

To think we are the only team In the Premier League not to have broken our record in the last 2-3 years and also the team with lowest record transfer is an absolute disgrace.

Yet still people defend Ashley saying he's put his own money in. Where the fuck has hundreds of millions of pounds disappeared to???

If true he's a fucking disgrace and no one will ever take us over from his clutches. The club can just fucking nose dive to league 2 for all I care now. Anything to see him lose hundreds of millions

Not in a million years does he have any intention to sell. We are his advertising vehicle
