HaydnNUFC
Probably am his biggest critic most of the time but he was my MOTM yesterday. Relentless.
Rafalove
Is Howe doing with Longstaff, what Klopp done with Henderson? Would that be a fair comparison?

I think that's a good assessment, yeah. To be honest I think Howe is using a lot of Liverpool 2018/19 - 2019/20 as his blueprint. There's a few tweaks obviously because we commit an extra midfielder (sometimes 2 extra!) to the attack rather than both full backs, but the off the ball stuff and press is really similar. Whitley mag
Gets caught in possession now and again and folk go light. FFS even Bruno gets caught in possession occasionally happens to the best, the lad is a top player and the stats back it up.
Kid Icarus
People talk about him getting back to his Rafa form, but honestly I think they're completely different players. Under Rafa my memory of him is being neat and tidy, disciplined, well positioned. Under Howe he's all action, takes risks, never stops.

mosstef
His engine is unreal. Some of the runs he makes even late in the matches are really impressive.
Newcastle Fan
He is getting fitter and sharper with every game! you can see the Steve Bruce effect fading week by week. probably doesn't want the season to stop at the moment.
Miercoles
Just want to point out that was a beautiful through ball for Willock's goal as well. Lots of people saying this guy can't pass, and he's not as accurate as some maybe but he also has a couple gorgeous assists already this season. I actually think if he gets a bit of time and space he can deliver really nice passes, he’s got good vision and chips the ball well. I’m not as convinced by his long range passing and when he’s under a lot of pressure but it’s really good to see him playing better and better every week. His effort is exceptional and he’s proven he can be a part of this squad for a long time to come

Lenny
His biggest failing is how much time he needs on the ball in critical positions of the pitch; he can both put us in the shit and short of numbers if he gets caught by an opposition press, and also miss opportunities at the attacking end. He does seem to be doing it less often in recent games though, however I'm still not sure he's mentally quick enough to eradicate it completely and feel he'll cost us over the longer run. If he can overcome it though then he'll probably be on the journey with us for a fair bit longer than you'd expect. Goes without saying that his work rate and discipline with our press is invaluable right now, though.
AJ9
He was excellent again today. Looked gassed later on but he’s contributing to some great passages of play and really gets about the pitch well.
Pilko
I thought he was excellent again today, our best player in the first half and although he faded a little second half, other stepped up to the mark by then. Whatever people think about him he's an important part of what is an incredibly well functioning side at the minute. Long may he continue to play this well. gbandit
Some really nice defensive work as always, that chance he had would have been buried by Wilson and maybe a few others in the squad but hopefully he can start contributing more in the final third
Dokko
Looked like he was asking the ref which one of his tackles he was getting booked for, then quickly agreeing, oh yeah, that one, nee bother.
The Butcher
Not the best footballer in the World, but what an engine and work rate. Such an important squad member. Hope he stays for years.
