toon25
Ouch. That interview must be painful for Brewcie. Certainly talking like a manager waiting in the wings.

Collage
Have we ever made this big a deal about a coach coming in? I don’t remember Steve stone doing welcome to the club interviews. It really is like he’s the new manager I was thinking exactly the same. Just the fact he’s got a shirt and jacket on rather than tracksuit.

Collage
He looks like Madeleine McCann's Dad. More chance of finding her than helping Bruce find 3 points tbh. ;D He fucking does look like him as well
BlueStar
Maybe he can leave Bruce in a room while he goes for some Tapas.
Guest
I don’t see the point of this mind other than he’s there at the club for if Ashley does decide to sack Bruce, Clemence & Agnew. If the two Steves left and he was number 2 it might make a difference, but he’ll find himself number 4 in the pecking order when it comes to ideas, etc.
InspectorCoarse
He wouldnt bin a perfectly good job if a takeover in the near future meant him getting binned along with Baconheed , thus its a long term appt and the takeover is nowhere
toontownman
Will likely get the cold shoulder from Bruce and co. Every training session. "..lovely insight, thanks for your input graeme. We will take that on board. I think I left something in my office, any chance you could get it?" "Sure, What was it Steve?" "Oh yeah.. anything really. Off you pop." Ben
Why the fuck has Newcastle getting a new member of the backroom team caused such a commotion ? there is definitely something going on here.

Holmesy
Looks like the number 2 in any ITV detective series Still don't get how this is going to help...this guy hasn't pulled up any trees anywhere he's been, and isn't exactly a 'yoing' up and coming star since he's 50 already, with his last involvement being taking Bournemouth down. Maybe he's brought in to teach players what relegation looks like Swansea played class football, Belgium are the No.1 ranked team in the world and Bournemouth played great football and took it to teams with budgets far larger than theirs for a few years in the PL. His credentials sound pretty good to me, especially when compared to our incumbent shower.

Think it would be the other way round, Bruce scurrying to pick up Graeme's phone which he left on his desk (Bruce's).

Fair enough, but the rest of his career is pretty impressive and there's one overwhelming factor in all of it - technical and tactical coaching and an attractive style of play. ScottishMagpie
Agree. Very odd comment. What's to say that Bruce is going to listen to his 'neutral opinion'? bearing in mind "I've got 20 years managerial experience you know!" Will be very interesting to see the interaction (if any) between the pair of them at next match on the touchline.
54
The way he was talking was like hed just been given the managers role, trying to find the right system that suits the players etc.
gdm
You have to wonder what the players make of all this. It’s not normal. An assistant coach doesn’t get all this publicity & interviews with the club website, his quotes aren’t your typical assistant coach quotes either
