He “hopes” we’re good enough to beat Morecambe ffs

There’s no combination of players we could put out that shouldn’t be good enough to beat a League Two side. Failing to do so is purely down to coaching.

Edit: a League Two side that finished 22nd in the table last season ffs. Could play Joelinton at keeper and win.

I said this after that shambles against Blackburn. Their side looked younger in age and experience than ours, yet they passed us off the park, the only thing missing from their play was finishing, and that's the one attribute you have to pay for. It was clear as day their side was much better coached than ours.

Can we not change the title to "Fuck off Steve Bruce" noone wants him here surely  :frantic:

If you wait around this thread long enough one or two of his fan club will be summoned by the criticism of their precious Steve and have a go at pissing in the wind about how ‘ok’ he has done.

It's like back to the days of Pardew were you were just waiting for what excuse we'd get before and after the game.

I hate all this pre match "we'll try to do something". Means nothing other than you don't have any tactics and you're just sending out the players to figure something out on the field.

I really wish we'd look for a younger manager that maybe doesn't have a name but at least tries to implement a way of playing, at least then you could just go 'these players aren't good enough'.

Before a match against Morecambe, he should be saying stuff like, "We must be beating this side," and "there are no excuses for our players."

Instead Steve says we are going to "give it a go!"

It might seem nitpicking, but psychologically hes lost battle before its begun.

Just like against Brighton when it was, "they like to keep the ball." All the home dressing room hears is, "it's ok if we dont have the ball."

Hes a clown.

Media should be calling him out over his pre-match comments if they backfire (he does say "roll your sleeves up/and give it a go" quite a lot doesn't he?). Sadly they risk being banned by the club if they dare become so outspoken. An unfiltered and frank presser is desperately needed and some fans on Twitter, as little as they speak for all of us, could do a brilliant job at asking the more uncomfortable questions which need to be addressed head-on
