He was unbelievable last night. Man of the match IMO.

That turn in midfield to lose the man that was on him before driving forward and threading a perfect through ball to Gordon was outrageous. His ability to thread a ball like that when it's on is so underrated. Unfortunately the player he finds often messes up the chance

Glad he was out of the team for a bit and people have come to appreciate his value more. It's not always pretty with him, but the positives far outweigh the negatives when everything gets tallied up.

He's better technically than people think just because he's a big lad. He's Brasileiro at the end of the day.

Feel like he was just shattered before and has benefitted from the time out. Also might be games where he can be rested for Ramsey or a new player.

He definitely frustrates at times because his technical side of the game isn't the best but when he's on it physically he's unmatched

The biggest issue for the last 12-18 months for him has been the injuries, he had the big one against the Mackems in the cup but then he kept on picking up knocks here and there

Just got to hope he can remain fit for this second half of the season

His ball retention and ability to receive the  ball and turn into space has been excellent in recent weeks.

He also seemed to realise the importance of stepping up and taking responsibility when his pal Bruno went off.

My beastly brasilian radge packet is back I always had faith in him that he would come good. I do think him and bruno like to play all the time even when there knackered physically or carrying injuries.

We kept saying don’t run him into the ground and keep playing him back to back……

Exactly what we’ve done. Looks like his groin again FFS.

And we’ve let the transfer window pass us by.

Again? Far too injury prone to be relied upon.

He has a groin problem earlier this season. Missed games where he was on the bench as emergency cover only and I’m sure Howe said he had been playing through it. Which would explain his poor performances early on.

Even if it isn’t the same one. Playing him almost non-stop and every game after returning. With his playing style and injury history. Feels pretty negligent to

me.

Plenty moan about Tino coming back too soon or playing too much. This feels far worse to me.

Think with the way he plays he’ll break down at least every ten games at this stage in his career. Still think we need to sell in the summer despite him being a Newcastle hero

Just been looking at our highest appearance makers

Big Joe in the top 50 in our whole history now and 10th highest amount of premier league appearances

Wouldn't have backed that in 2019...
