Stephen Roger Classless Bruce

Imagine saying this in what I’m guessing to be a match program  “If I big club come in for me, that’s that.”  That’s class and respectful to the club and fans that there!

There’s such an ego on the bloke. Playing for Man U fed that and grew it massively too. Stories from Nicky Forster the other week about not socialising before Birmingham training, just sat in the back of his hired/driver Mercedes reading papers for an hour each morning instead.

Walked out of his first managerial job at Sheff U because of lack of transfer funds - first job in management, how big time is that. His forever references to how long he’s been in the game, as if that actually means anything.

Favourite part of that...

Q; Have you ever reached a stage where you no longer believe anything you read?

A; No. If I ever reached that stage I’d seriously think about packing the game in.

He got that game against Arsenal replayed at Sheffield United because of a controversial goal - after taking his players off the pitch, in his first season in management!! Got his own way and just got beat again anyway is so Bruce.

Imagine if playing games again for controversial goals was a thing whilst he was at Man United? Amongst others against Spurs when Spurs had a blatant corner and were waiting to take it Man U took a quick goal kick went up the other end with Spurs players all out of position and scored. Such things - QPR and Liverpool too - cost us the title in 96 - but its like Bruce is the only person such an outrage could happen to.

The worst Newcastle manager in my lifetime, going into games with the plan of not getting beat is just soul destroying to watch, I honestly want Villa to put at least 6 past us on Friday.

The sickening thing is though, Bruce will try and spin it to say that he put the building blocks of that Villa team together

From nufc.com's match report from the weekend:

PS: NUFC.com July 2019 on the appointment of Bruce - for 13 months read 25?:

So all the talk of progressive football has been sacrificed on the altar of expedience and we're now saddled with a Carver/McClaren reboot.

We don't really care about his club hopping, the plight he left Sheffield Wednesday in; Bruce's mackem connection or his perception as an Old Trafford apologist is of little consequence. And even the claim that a man who allegedly bleeds black and white once preferred Norwich City to us doesn't matter.

Regardless of your viewpoint of Rafa though, this cannot be seen as anything other than a retrograde step - a man who previously boasted of his dislike of tactics. This is the very opposite of ambition; an appointment that nicely mirrors our grubby, unloved, derided shell of a football club.

One of the game’s greatest mercenary managers is now in residence at his "spiritual home", for now. Acutely aware of the frosty reception awaiting, Bruce has accepted the job with open arms knowing that the worst case scenario is a multi-million payout.

Whether the club have shown some foresight in appointing Bruce remains to be seen; perhaps they've merely acquired a manager with promotion to the top flight on his CV, 13 months before he's needed.

him attacking the dry biscuits man.

what a joke of a man this is. its as if his wife has banned biscuits at home because he's such a fat cunt, so he has to nick a few from the press conference.

Was told today that Bruce has been put on 'light duties' by the club doctor over the last few months and inferred this was the reason a new coach was brought in (or at least one of the reasons).

Medically unfit to manage.

What was the reason for him being put on light duties?

*Insert joke about being the only light thing about him here*

I'm not sure, I've asked like.

Do managers get medicals? Like monthly or periodically, for insurance purposes perhaps? No idea.
