thomas
If there is still something going on in the background with our takeover ( ), and if the lawyers are still involved, I hope they are looking for ways to use this Abramovich story to put some pressure on the PL Even if they are, there is no evidence to say it's not just Ashley looking for compensation or suchlike. Staveley seems to have decided to go quiet now after giving daily updates to Caulkin for months. Maybe that's how things should have been done all along however. Maybe it's Blackstone chambers going all Tyler Durden on the parties involved The first rule of takeover club is you do not talk about takeover club. The second rule of takeover club is you DO NOT TALK about takeover club. Like you say though probably the way it should have been done in the first place. Lazarus
If there is still something going on in the background with our takeover ( ), and if the lawyers are still involved, I hope they are looking for ways to use this Abramovich story to put some pressure on the PL Lawyers aren't quick. They only confirmed involvement last week, so it'll be months before they say anything, if they do at all. Abramovich stuff has no relevance to this at all, other than showing some of his more suspect activities to the public...and the lack of pick up and fanfare about it shows it won't be deeply or publicly probed On the contrary, it shows that abramovich has no regard for the rules of the premier league - https://www.premierleague.com/news/597665. Therefore, could he reasonably be described as fit and proper?

It has gone deathly silent since they came in, and you are spot on, it should have been like that from the start.
LV
The cheek of Dicky Masters claiming the Governement’s plans to postpone crowds returning to PL fixtures is ‘harming clubs and their communities’ Meanwhile, he is directly harming our club and our community redevelopment. Wilson
Pleased it wasn't all silent tbh, quite enjoyed reading all the speculation about it throughout lockdown. Not like it had any impact on the outcome either.

Daniel Levy must be in a right panic, take out a big loan to pay for a fancy new stadium and no one can go in less than a year after it opens

junkhead
As if we still don't know.. it was clear 10 years ago that the only reason he bought us is the free bi-weekly advertising to a billion sports fans.

Whitley mag
Listened to parts 2 and 3 not interested in reliving the Ashley era, just basically regurgitating what we already know with some dramatic music in the background. The only real opinion on where we’re currently at comes from Chris Waugh in part 2. He can’t see how it gets approved, but consortium still believe a compromise can be found and talks still in background.

Danh1
https://www.bbc.com/sport/54246745 Shame For the PL I’m glad fans aren’t allowed. 1. Fucks the PL off. 2. Will make sure that Ashley actively tries to sell the club. Downside is, other than the Saudis there is zero interest in the club and this won’t help with that. They are claiming that the PL clubs won't be able to support the lower divisions, but then of course the question will be asked, how come Chelsea Sputnik can afford to splash £200m on new players this summer alone?
