et tu brute
I'm getting less confident as the days go by, if the Saudis really wanted us they would just steamroller in and do the deal, I think they might have cold feet because of the pandemic, Amanda has said nowt and the Ruben's (who could buy us in a heartbeat then sell it to the Saudis) are doing nothing to move the deal forward, Two conmen have just bought Burnley with a couple of jam jars and dumped the debt back on the club. I'm 100% convinced a deal could be done one way or another I'm starting to think the pandemic has changed the mood and they might wait to see how it pans out or even Buy Man Utd on the cheap. It’s going through arbitration nothing is going to be resolved until then. The Saudis and Qatar states have just mending relations, which are very complex to say the least. Just wait as most sources have been saying end of this month/March. The arbitration will be sorted by then, but, even then there may be a wait whilst we await confirmation of what league we’re in. Weren't you balls deep in this? Yes, I even bet my profile on it, but its just stagnating now and it looks like it wont happen, from a personal point of view I'm gutted because it means supporter wise I'm taking a back seat. The Prophet
Aye, it's only just started to stagnate has this Once arbitration is over, we'll be able to put this sorry affair to bed one way or another.
Rocker
It's going to happen. I have no doubts about that at all. It's frustrating seeing the club stripped back and treading water (barely), but if we can stay up this season then we're golden. If we stay up and we're still talking like this in June/July, then I'm out. Edit- Understatement of the decade.

Don’t necessarily think no news is bad news.....look what happened last year when it was daily stories in the press.Think this time they’ve made sure there are absolutely no leaks.Think Bein are quiet as well, no feeding Bein Jacobs etc with stories. I think they may not wish to stir it any more in the hope of a deal with Saudis Arabia. They need their revenue. Ashley not sacking Bruce imho is another sign the takeover might be close. Personally think we’ll hear something positive(or negative) towards the end of the month.Ashley then has to decide what to do with Bruce if nothing is forthcoming. Bein don’t want to stir it with the PL with the hope of a deal with SA.
Jinky Jim
My fear is that both sides are waiting on each other to make the first move.SA want the PL to give some positive indication on the takeover before a deal with Quatar. On the other hand the PL want to see some movement from SA before any positive outcome. Cat and mouse......
Jinky Jim
Mind you this plays right into the PL hands as PIF are supposed to be separate from SA Royalty, and any movement from SA may be seen as proof that PIF and SA royalty are not separate organisations. nbthree3
SA want the PL to give some positive indication on the takeover before a deal with Quatar. We're a tiny piece of a jigsaw, the improving relations between SA + Q have very little to do with us beyond the beoutQ piracy. Reading that it makes it sound like they're only reaching an agreement to end the blockade because they want this takeover through which is a bit far-fetched personally. Wait until arbitration is finished and maybe the path becomes a little clearer

I get the feeling that this was only really an issue to prove piracy. If that objection goes then I think the separation issue quietly gets forgotten about as well
