Well I’m part of a Discord group and on this discord group PIF are linked with creating a CPL club in Quebec. A year or so ago they were rejected because of the Saudi-Canadian relationship, however the guy who brought them to the table is set to announce a new club next month and they rumours are they are still looking to be involved in it. If the consortium have said we still want the club, Ashley knows this is his best chance of getting money that is sitting there waiting. It may not be the amount he wanted, but its money, and you have to ask yourself, does Ashley care more about money or the club? If he's getting wind that arbitration isnt/won't go well and or the PL still strongly object and are unwilling to compromise, then he will absolutely let the club sink so he can get shot of it in the football league. If the consortium have said we'll only buy if it remains in the PL, there's absolutely no valid reason he has done nothing about Bruce. At this moment Bruce is the biggest threat to Ashley getting a sale, and the fact that Ashley seems not bothered, in my opinion,speaks volumes. We were close to relegation under Pardew and Carver and he did fuck all. He likely would have done fuck all about McClaren idf Rafa hadn't made it easy for him.
