Just as well there's nobody with a brain at the local rag or I reckon we'd be seeing an edition of the Newcastle Ebening Chronicle later on.

Would be a great coup tbh. He's a proven winner and seems to be perfect for where we are and what we need right now.

Probably also tells us that there will be some huge investments in the squad and infrastructure to even be able to lure him from a Champions League-team at this point in time.

Given our squad and position right now this is a great appointment. Plus the fact he’s leaving Champions League football, though they are struggling in the league.

The football won’t be pretty but it’s beside the point. All we need now is Monchi and the Europe League is ours within a couple seasons.

Post more pls. Thank you.

All things considered it's one of the best appointments we could have made. I think he'll give the squad a shake up, lift morale instantly and get an extra 20% or of most of them too. They clearly need a fresh voice with new ideas, a new vision and some organisational changes. Feeling very optimistic about the rest of the season now, happy days :aww:

I'd be delighted with this appointment, outside of Benitez, I deemed him the most suitable choice in our circumstances.

Emery was the manager to give Willock his debut for Arsenal at St James Park, and Willock seemed very fond of him and his passionate involvement in the game from the touchline. Emery, much like Rafa, is not the spectator type who sits back arms folded and observes the game, he's right there on the touchline with the players, involved in the spirit and intensity of the match. Something I feel will serve us well in our current predicament.

Great work from Staveley and her team if this goes through.

Not sure if he speaks much English to be honest, or he didnt when at Arsenal iirc
