54
Thats game was our season in a microcosm, players unable to finish, unable to take a touch, unable to put the ball in the net, and a gifted chance at the other end from our shitty defense. This players are unbelievably hopeless, the lack of quality is actually astounding. Can't even blame Howe for it, as tactically we where fine and dominated the game, players where in the spaces need to be to score a good 4/5 chances, but we where too shite to do anything with it. Beth
One crumb of comfort is it'll probable be the last time Longstaff ever starts a game for us. But as for Howe, it's all been a bit meh up to now, feels like a stopgap appointment.

At what point does the accumulation of bad decisions become bad management? Suppose we will find out by February. Were we schooled? I saw a questionable offside goal for them and very little else. I did however see over hit passes, misses from 6 yards, 2 disallowed goals and a great save at the end there.
Andy
Confidence in front of goal has been the biggest factor today like, with a decent striker on the pitch we would've put the game to bed comfortably. He literally has no viable options up top so it's difficult to be too critical until that problem is solved.
Smal
There are problems all over the pitch to be honest. We can blame our defence for recent losses but today the midfield and forwards looked totally clueless apart from Shelvey. To the extent where you're not sure what they worked on in training. Elephant
Im not at all impressed by Howe, if you compare it to Gerrard at Villa, it seems very likely that we made wrong decision.

The Merse
At some point there has to be questions asked - he cannot be completely blameless - yes the players are pretty poor but they are not League one poor - he cannot be absolved on this basis
Alan Pardew
Shades of Moyes' 81 crosses. Absolutely got it wrong today. Still backing him but questions must be asked.

Wandy
Honeymoon over. That was completely unacceptable. I hate kneejerking but all of a sudden there is a question mark over his appointment.

nemtizz
Aside from a few great performances from Joelinton I have yet to see any improvement in the team at all since he's been here. Only real concernable difference is the pressing but it's not enough.
JUICE690
Think he's been let down by the majority of his players today tbh. There's a reason he's trying to replace half the squad.
number9shirt
Organisation today was piss poor ASM, Fraser & Murphy all playing as a striker at different points today.
David Edgar
He completely lost control of the game when went went a goal down. There genuinely wasn't a coherent plan from that moment on, it was a complete mess.

He's definitely accountable to some extent but we lost the game because we didn't have a striker available. If we did, the customary 'chuck one in' by a goalkeeper/defender (which he isn't accountable for) doesn't matter.

Nah, the team organization and subs were awful after we went 1-0 down. That's on him.
LV
All this shit for Howe?? This club has been the epitome of mediocrity for 14 years or so and you blame him who’s only been here for a couple of months?
Lenny
I'm not sure how you can really blame the manager for such a wretched display of finishing. With even a slight bit of decisiveness or attacking quality it would have been a comfortable win. The players just aren't good enough.
RS
I’ve got no idea what this team was set out to do. Worrying display.
Vinny Green Balls
Constructive criticism is fine, but some of you dumbasses have been much more than asking questions from the very beginning. You've been whining ad infinitum, and are probably having a good wank over his failures. Best fans in the world.
LiquidAK
Desperately needs a striker in this team. Someone finishes any of our 100 chances in the first half and we win that comfortably imo. I'm as annoyed as the rest of you but this doesn't erase the blatant improvement in the league we've seen since he came in. He'll get it right and turn around the heap of shit he's inherited.
