Fuck knows how he repairs the mental fragility in this team. The second half resembled a lot more fight, thankfully, cos the last thing we need now is everyone downing tools. But ffs the massively impactful individual errors, man. It's basically constant.

He's improved us tactically but he can't do much more with a squad that makes that many individual errors. Needs reinforcements in January and as long as we're within 6 points from safety by the time January comes round, we'll be reet.

Pretty much, thought he got it tactically spot on today tbh, as weird as that sounds considering we lost

1 goal where Shelvey still thought he was a Liverpool player and another where vs any other team or with any other referee, play is stopped.

If he gets a decent calibre of players next month, he'll keep us up. Was impressed with how we went about today. We just don't have the players yet.

Just needs to get us to jan 3-6 pts off safety if possible and start shipping out the deadwood the squads filled with.

It’s amazing we are still only 3 points away from safety. We are so lucky that the league has been utter shite with us.

He signalled he wanted to come off and then the ball went out 3 times after that before we got Wilson on. It resulted in ASM just hobbling about for ages

Ahh, I didn’t realise it had went out, I thought it was just taking forever for the game to stop.

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe talking to BT Sport: "In my opinion the game should have been stopped before their equaliser with two players down. Two players down in the box and it had a huge bearing on our game plan.

"As soon as they score the crowd are in the game and it feels unjust. The referee said he thought he was holding his back but Isaac Hayden held his head, he was dazed for four or five minutes. It could be dangerous and we have to think of the players safety, you also don't want to see games decided when you have players out of the game."
