AyeDubbleYoo
It would be mad to sign Carroll for football reasons, but luckily that’s not a factor.
TBG
2 in 9 for England.
Stifler
Carroll's a no brainer for me like. Providing we're not paying him a fortune, when he's fit he's a guaranteed goalscorer, great option off the bench. Would like to keep Gayle too though. When is he fit? To put into perspective, if he signed for us and scored 1 goal, then he would have scored the same amount of goals for us as he did for West Ham. If he scored 2 then we would be the club he’s scored the most goals at. In his career he only spent 18 months with us as a senior player. 24 months as senior player at nufc. Really? Sure he was only a senior player since the Championship season.

Shadow Puppets
11 in 58 for Liverpool A chunk of those were from the bench though (same applies to his West Ham stats). He's a 1 in 3 goalscorer in the PL, for free. As I say, IF he can stay relatively fit, he'll be a good option alongside Joelinton, Gayle, and Muto. Offers something completely different. I do think as a plan B option from the bench as a freebie it is a no brainer and hed instantly be the best headerer of a ball at the club
Stifler
its not the worst idea in history to bring him back It’s just indicative how how we are ran as a club. Not birthing to spend money in for an adequate backup player, rather bring in a has been with a dodgy injury record for a short term solution. The club should have been buying a younger player who can have time to develop and go from being an option off the bench to a first team player. Or even let the likes of Sorenson have a chance. Instead we get the cheap option, the option that won’t be an option much, the guy who will be pressured into playing ahead of bringing through the like of Sorenson. Happinesstan
A fully fit Carroll would be awesome. He was 24 last time he was fully fit.
Disco
A superb signing by Mike and Steve at no doubt considerable expense to them both. Well done.

danny
Id take him back in a heartbeat, on a low wage or pay as you play
Ketsbaia
If he's replacing Joselu, fine. If he's replacing Gayle, not fine. Make it pay-as-you-play too.
Carlito
I think he'd still be a good option for us. Hoping we can get this one sorted.
Yorkie
In other circumstances I'd be secretly buzzing to have Carroll back.
Nobody
Hey Dickheads in charge, there's no rush to sign Carroll, he's a free agent.
nufcjb
I have a bad feeling that on deadline day, Bruce will be given at least one free transfer of his choice and it'd probably be someone like Andy Carroll. Elmohamady is still with Villa right? Called it yesterday. Just knew we going in for him.
Bimpy474
If he's replacing Joselu, fine. If he's replacing Gayle, not fine. Make it pay-as-you-play too. He'll be replacing both imo if he does sign, i actually think it's quite sensible if he can stay fit, which he won't so that'll make it mental to sign him. But as player with his ability i certainly would have him in the squad.
Bimpy474
It seems we're back to not wanting to use loans, seems daft as they're seems to be some decent players available in England and abroad.
Boo Boy
I don't understand the negativity taking Carroll back (as long as he is fit!). he would provide decent cover for big Joe up front.
Chicane
How the hell can anyone see this as positive in any way He's completely done at Prem level and a permacrock who'd never play anyway. Might as well get Shearer if they're just looking for a token PR "one of our own" signing, his body is probably in similar shape

So wouldn’t say he’s ‘done’ saying that tho he’s never fit
LV
Fine if we want someone for our physios to practice on. Pointless if it’s for the football though.
