What on earth does King add to the team? We're just going to chuck him upfront with Wilson in a team that can't progress the ball u the pitch to them.

We're better off playing Almiron behind Wilson, and getting ASM and Fraser out wide. What is wrong with these people man.

I am assuming if any interest in him is true he would be considered an alternate to Wilson or option for wide left if ASM/Fraser are injured. He would certainly be a better option than Carroll, Gayle or Joelinton. Maybe Bruce clutching at straws because he knows he won't see the ritchie money and wants something out of the deal? Maybe Jones knows where he wants to utilize him lol.

Bournemouth fans love Ritchie. Last I checked they seemed to think it'd be impossible unless we were paying out a fair whack of his remaining contract, or if he took a significant pay cut.

It seems ridiculous that he was given a new contract that now ago now, and the club will likely end up having to put its hand in its pocket for him to go play for someone else.

If he wasn't given that extension, he'd still be under contract now right? We've literally given him a whole new deal that'll be paid to him playing for another side.

This club is monumentally badly at doing anything important like contracts and transfers.

Defiantly, but the two aren't mutually exclusive. Neither should have given extensions, but short-sightedness irks me more with Ritchie.

Shelvey is the first name on the team sheet when fit, or even half-fit, and see no rumours of him leaving. He was the only player scoring in the side at the time (he should have been anway, plus a striker should have been).

Ritchie was playing, fair enough, but not first choice LB, or LW, only when we tried to play WBs. We gave him a new deal, then went out next window and brought a new LB/WB Lewis, and Fraser.

Ugghh, we really don't need Choudhury   No idea who we do need, but looking around other clubs signings recently, players like Bissouma, Douglas Luiz, Barkley, Sansom, Doucoure all players that should be in within our ambitions that have gone to other clubs we weren't even linked too.

State of investment in our midfield in recent years has been a disgrace. We've just given up buying talented players, that even for whatever reason don't work here, go elsewhere and show we were on right track signing them at least.

Shelvey - signed in 2016 when we in desperation for anything. Thought it was a s*** signing then, everything he is being slammed for now was fair and obvious criticism of his game back then. Legitimately the belated and far inferior Cabaye replacement in the midfield then.

Hayden - signed as a squad player for Championship season. Fair play to the lad for kicking on, but he's limited to say the least.

Hendrick - free signing from Burnley

Longstaffs - academy

then we've had;

Saivet - total mystery this signing, smells of something dodgy behind the scenes.

Diame - free signing for Championship

Bentaleb - ughhh, total dosser and waste of whatever loan fee paid for him

Only midfielder that's been brought into the club with obvious talent and shown to be good enough was Merino.

Stand by Wijnaldum being a good signing. Obvious he was a quality player and had talent, but Schteve couldn't motivate him to brush his teeth, yet still scored fair amount. Then you go way back to the likes of Sissoko, Cabaye, Tiote under Carr; even Cabella, Thauvin - all obviously talented and quality players.

The total shade thrown at Ki to not even get a mention

I swear there was a story shortly after the transfer window when a bunch of, supposedly, the consortium's targets were revealed, and Choudury was on there. Wasn't Demarai Gray on the list as well? Can't recall.

Never thought buying players deemed not up to scratch at teams we aspire to be/competing with is ever the answer. Added to always aspiring to build a squad top-bottom, continually add better players that push down current first teamers down.

Leicester didn't kick on by buying players that couldn't get into Leicester's (whatever team Leicester at the time) side. They went and brought Tielemans.

We should be in the market for Tielemans type players. Below the obvious elite, but with improvement/progression a player the elite end up purchasing. Not some dosser deemed no good by a top 10 team. Jeff Hendrick is never going to push on and become any better, or become a £30M+ player that likes of top 4 sniff around (i.e Cabaye). We're just wasting our time and money continually buying these twats like Hendrick, Shelvey  :fool:

We still live with the 'purple' mentality, and will never push on as a club until that attitude is banished.

We've got Shelvey, paying him 80k, the purplest 'purple' of the squad. So we'll never go and buy another midfielder better than him, thus improving our side, and demoting him to rotation/squad.
