NWMag
Haven’t seen Van de Beek mentioned anywhere. Surely we would take him?

The fact it isn’t gives me huge red flags and makes me think he’s just looking for one big payday. Playing for Juve is the dream. The reality is sausage and chips for many who are used to home comforts. That could work in our favour for some high quality British players in a short term period. maze
This will be a stressful month for sure! I hope they work fast. I find myself a little disappointed that we haven’t announced some signings (like Everton have done) as we’d really need someone in before the next game
Decky
I'd take Aubameyang until the end of the season, but £20m deal in the summer? Fuck no.

Yorkie
Really hope we're not buying belligerent, past-their-best, unbelievably expensive players who won't be up for the fight like Aubameyang. A loan might be alright.
Kid Icarus
Haven't seen a single thing to suggest Ramsay has a poor attitude, only the opposite. It would be a risk because of his injury record and because of his limitations, but one well worth taking on a short term contract because of how good his strengths are imo. Re his problems at Juve, Is Italian football training still very stringent and not tailored on a player-by-player basis? Can't imagine that helping him if so. Weston is the type of strong box to box that we’d love to have. Him and Big Joe, sheeesh. I'd totally agree with this. At his best Ramsey was a far better player but he's basically done physically these days. McKennie has actually been pretty good for Juve, but is probably not really the player they want long term, and there's been lots of rumours that they'd happily cash in as a saleable asset (Everton were strongly linked). HaydnNUFC
Aubameyang is at the AFCON this month, would miss Watford and Leeds. Sounds mental but I think I'd rather we looked elsewhere.

I wouldn't say he has a bad attitude, I just think [based solely on that earlier quote] that he has poor mentality. His attitude might overcome that but paired with his fitness issues it's not a chance I'd take. But I don't have a bottomless pit of cash.

Him whining about how Juve aren’t managing him properly when he’s not fit is a wack attitude to have. I doubt a huge club like Juve don’t know how to manage players. I don’t really know what his strengths are, barely gets goals, isn’t particularly creative and hes 31 now. Only really seen him for Wales recently tbh, but he's still looked quality and I've always liked him. Don't really think his quotes about not playing are bad at all either, but I'm sure there's a lot more to it that Juve fans will know. Just might be a bad fit, I'd personally take the risk in the short term - even just as a lazy comparison, Howe got the best football out of ex-Arsenal, perma-crock Jack Wilshire, who played 27 times for them on a season long loan. A half season loan of Ramsay with the option to buy would be ideal imo. Edited January 1, 2022 by kisearch
toon25
I honestly doubt there's any substance to the PEA rumours. Howe will want to build the right mentality and mindset to take us forward and will want to stay clear of mercenaries like him.

Geordie Ahmed
I think he pretty much retired since he got that bumper new contract Not sure he'd be up for a relegation battle and money won't be a factor as we'll not increase what he's getting at Arsenal
