Aye, there's a distinct lack of action in terms of interest for our deadwood.

I think we'll struggle to shift them without ponying up a percentage of their wages, and that's even without taking into account whether that lot would go down to mid-to-lower Champo sides, which is all they're good for.

TBF any championship team that took on Darlow, Fed, Clark, Ritchie, Matty, Anderson and Gayle would have a cracking side.

Would assume it’s because buying teams know none of those players have a future so will wait until it’s obvious we’re desperate to bin off. Can’t wait for Hendrick to go, more than any of them he winds me up no end. Just no business poisoning the PL well, invertebrate Guinness ponce

How big could their wages actually be given they were signed during the Ashley era? Some of them were signed in the Championship too.

£30k a man ?

Yep. I've said as much previously, while our midfield isn't perfect, it's functional but we desperately need some genuine quality options up front.

Feel like the DM is what we NEED for when we play the top teams, something is definitely needed in that midfield or we're just going to get dominated and will even have it hard against some lesser teams imo.

We won’t get dominated if we have another midfielder who can carry and pass the ball well. Shelvey can’t carry and is a long passer. Willock can carry but isn’t a passer, and Joelinton is more of our box to box destroyer with some decent carrying.

Surprised Fofana hasn’t been snapped up yet he would fit the bill.

Tielemans would make me a walking viagra advert.

Same. If he's available we should be doing everything to bring him in. I think Shelveys hit his best run of form for us under Howe but Tielemans would be a huge upgrade on him.

The problem we will have is who can afford their wages, and even a loan fee. I’d rather just release them from their contracts and pay them up if we struggle as even out on loan, we are probably going to have to front their wages anyway.

Mid table Premier League blues. Cannot afford to pay the wages earned by elite players. Cannot offload players because no one below can afford their wages. Only going to get worse. Much worse.

Hendrick is on £50k apparently. Depends on which sources you trust but supposedly Gayle, Clark, Richie are all on £40k plus.

On holiday a month ago in Alcudia I met him and his wife in a waterpark.

Absolute gent. I said my son would love a photo with him but he wasn't there. He said I will be here in the corner when he comes. Bring him over and I will make sure he gets a pic. My son was ecstatic.

Crazy that no one seemed to know who he was.

I didn't take the piss for him not drawing a foul in the last moments of the match that lead to our winner either. Although it did cross my mind.

I don't think he could've fouled Willock, the faint was that good. I've watched that goal a 100 times and even tho I absolutely love everything about it a big part of me is filled with a sense of injustice because, goal or no goal, Mendy didn't get a 2nd yellow for rugby tackling wor Jo

Obviously Tielemans over Shelvey is a no brainer. However I don't see us getting another CM in this summer, happy to be proved wrong but it just wouldn't make much sense unless it was a promising youngster.

We need a top quality (proven to some extent) RW and some sort of back up to Wilson, be that a free transfer or another youngster.

Next summer is the time to go big on a new TOP TOP quality CM once Shelvey is gone and TOP TOP level striker to replace/compliment Wilson.

Agree with all of that.

I think the owners will always look for a good deal and Tielemans for £20-25m could be such a deal. Would be a great upgrade in our midfield.

That number appears remarkably optimistic.
