Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Recommended Posts

These ‘super agents’ tend to get their way eventually, and secure their sweet percentage, so hopefully this Borat fella is able to leverage enough pressure on Frankfurt to get them to compromise to some degree.

Is both an option?

PSG and Arsenal supporting cunt. Has been very dismissive of us in the past. Hope he's right about Ekitike but... yeah, fuck him, prick :aww:

Considering everyone always wants an Ornstein confirmation then id say people are way over confident on it happening going by his patter

The Athletic and Sky tend to be super cautious and go for triple verification before reporting anything. It means they're frequently behind, but usually spot on with their info.

Yawnstein on SSN:

Working on it, no agreement, deal not close, no guarantee, actively exploring, significant expense, ~£75m but Frankfurt want more, unaware of personal terms being agreed. Nothing done yet.

Regrettably you would have to think that’s true. Hopefully we can get it done

I take no notice of any of the fuckers, every single one of them get things totally wrong. I just wait until a player arrives for his medical. Easier that way and you can't get too disappointed if things fall through

Honestly resigned myself to Hugo never joining us.

really liked the kid early. Didn’t believe the rumours at first.

we are going to be so interesting tactically.  I wonder if we go 3 at the back permanently or 4231 or some type of Villa like hybrid

Thoughts on breaking up the Bruno/Tonali/Joelinton trio?

If Joelinton is dropped for Ekitike, we'd have to make up for his athleticism somewhere else, or change the style so we can do without it

I know how played 4-4-2 at Bournemouth, but just feels the 4-3-3 is our bread and butter now

To me it looks like lots of team are pivoting to a type of 4-2-3-1, which i can see us doing as well (at times). The problem we have is how going from a 3 to a 2 midfield takes away from our strongest asset in the last few years. It also doesn't then mean we have 1 of best 4 man attacks in Europe.

If Howe can make it flexible to mid game tweaks without making a sub then were going to be quite the problem to deal with.

If there was ever a player to trust Laurens on, it would be a French player with PSG connections.

If you look at his Twitter timeline, he doesn’t actually tweet much in the way of transfer rumours, so he must have had solid info to go in with this.

He’s also a pretty well established ’proper’ journalist, so isn’t quite as much of a slave to the interaction and clicks world of SM.

He’s one of those you can see - instant baller.

I hate the word baller, but when i watched his compilation over the weekend it was the first word I thought of.

If you have more than one baller in your team are they just ‘ballers’, or is there a special collective noun/name?

Like a group of geese is a gaggle of geese.

A battery of ballers?

A band of ballers?

A squadron of ballers?

For me the evolution was always having ‘more football’ than Joelinton in the side. Funny with Etikite and JP (definitely JP, don’t know Hugo so much) very good at holding it uo and linking with direct balls to their throat. Joelinton brings that. Also a presence offensively and defensively at set pieces.

I think we’ll see a lot of tactical flexibility from Howe with these options. Excited to see it.

Aye I have to be honest I trust Ornstein more than anyone else. Hopefully we get a more positive update from him tomorrow.
