Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Recommended Posts

Jesus 🤦🏻 honestly the number of people on here who'd do well to invest in some time with an MBT therapist, working on their psychic equivalence.

Liverpool have asked to be kept updated, but haven’t yet made a bid for Ekitike. They have recent history of ruining a young hotshot striker from the continent. Ekitike has recent experience of moving to too big a club, too early in PSG and may be wary of making a similar mistake again.

Let’s just see how things play out, but let’s not assume "we know with utmost certainty" what the outcome will be. FFS some of you lot are seriously psychologically damaged.

So do I hope. Who knows, we might have improved our offer because we are determined to get him. Not many around and we have a chance still. By that I mean players that can play various roles with the same ability.

To be clear, this move always seemed to good to be true in my pessimistic eyes. But if you're one of the people who believes this will happen, whatever you do, do not let the words of Craig fucking Hope kill your optimism. The guy knows absolutely hee haw as has been proven many times already this window. Shit, even the bald nonce has been more accurate than him thus far.

There’s plenty on this here forum and in our real world fan base who when it comes to NUFC have serious issues with catastrophic thinking, obsessive negative circular thoughts and high levels of unfounded anxiety

Does this automatically mean that they will be offering 80m? Or offer at

They may not offer 80m. However since they aint getting Isak imo. They likely go for Ekitike. Keith summed it up well.

We’ve all been dead certain that Isak isn’t leaving in this window unless ridiculous money and the player pushes for it (doubt it). We’ve known that Liverpool are interested in Ekitike. Only thing that has changed is us having our first offer rejected and that Isak approach going public.

You could call it brutal negotiating or you could call it for what it is.

Liverpool miss out on top target so then threaten to overpay for a target they're not too keen on out of spite.

Translation "Liverpool thought if Newcastle got Ekitike then Isak may be available, on being told to piss off,  went for the next best"

I keep seeing the media suggesting Frankfurt want a bidding war, I might be wrong but doesn’t he have a release clause around 85 million ?

So if we bid 70mill and they go 72, so we go.......

You can have a bidding war even when there's a release  clause.

I’m a realist and understand it’s likely Ekitike will go there now, but it’s a huge risk on their part, they’ve only been loosely linked with him, all their fans and the rest of the world is seeing he was used as a pawn, he will know that too. If he doesn’t hit the ground running the pressure will grow on him fairly rapidly

So naive  as if Ekitike will give the slightest shit of the evolution of Nunez. He’ll see money & trophies
