Meant to phrase that post better, it was in response to posts above asking if we were all comfortable with him asking for more money…my point was meant to be, I’d be more worried that we weren’t backing up a truckload of cash to give him whatever the fuck he wants! Didn’t quite come off. Anyway, all very worrying indeed.

Fair enough. I'm sure it'll be the normal process of meeting somewhere in the middle. I doubt we've low balled him.

Modric?

I wouldn’t say his career has been defined by blistering speed, and in his latter years he’s been elite without ever being defined by his athleticism. As long as you can keep up with the pace of the game - which Bruno can - he’s grand.

Just like I said fortnight ago, the main block to the negotiation is salary. Still no point of convergence as far as I know. The club still optimist though.

You're literally the worst 'ITK' on the site. More of a 'KFA'.

As long as Pep is at City I see no risk at all losing Bruno to Man City.

Personally I don't think he's too small and short to play for Guardiola, and not good enough either(..yet....)  Man City/Pep/Arteta were after Jorginho same time as Chelsea, but got Rodri - Arteta got Jorginho years later at Arsenal for a reason.

End of the day, we are in a Fortress of Solitude - if we are now in a position to say £200 for Bruno.

He was alright, someone called him 1 out of 10 which was ludicrous (as he is perfectly capable of a rash red card now and then lol). He will get there, and to be honest his infectious personality probably counts for more than you think on the pitch. His celebrating all the goals...

Teams will be looking to press him this season, as he's been caught a few times hanging onto the ball a fraction too long. By the same token, if they don't get the ball off him then we are just as likely to punish them on the counter like we did today.

I don’t think he’ll ever stand out for us as much as he did in his first 9 months or so.

nothing on him but he’s now surrounded by players of a similar standard.

can’t wait until everyone is totally on the same wavelength

Yeah he’s not going to be obviously the best player every week anymore, and he doesn’t really need to be.

Begging for this lad to get back up to scratch at some point. Starting to wonder if pre-Matteo was just a purple patch; we've very seldom seen those incredible levels since that run of brilliant results in Autumn 2022/23. Tonali helped him out big-time against Villa imo but today's trio has unbelievable potential as a unit, if Bruno can sort out the maddening sloppiness. It just didn't exist this time last year.

I thought he was pretty fine today but for getting caught on the ball once. He didn't stand out as Tonali did, but was by no means poor.

Absolutely this. So long as he’s got a smile on his face and over celebrating goals it’s all good.
