Pushes up into the space behind the midfield and is on the striker’s touch all the time. Never giving them time to turn.

Seemed to get us playing higher. Which isn’t all on him, of course. But he seemed more than comfortable doing it and it was noticeable.

Got some outrageous hang time going up for his headers and they often went to one of our players or a safe area.

The casual head back home to Dubravka. So simple and basic. Yet None of our centre backs attempt that bar him.

Covered in behind a few times when needed to and didn’t look slow.

Just a fucking Superb debut, basically.

Oh and he is taller than the interview advertising board

Really good debut from the big man.

Seems referees like him too - don't think I've ever seen one of our players rip someones shirt when on a yellow and get away with it before - which is a much needed trait also

How good must the other Brighton defenders be?

Certainly something to do with the man management, organization and coaching. You can see the difference in Ben White where he is maybe expected to be more self sufficient while the likes of Potter/Howe are all about getting the most out of players. Think Potter has been great for that and think Howe has always been similar.
