We should also insist he hands in a transfer request after all of the nonsense he's pulled, so that it costs him that little bit extra as well. What is the significance of a transfer request? What does it change about the deal?

Sick of bowing down to these cunts You can make him play but you can’t make him perform, I believe the isak you enjoyed last season no longer exists for us. If we’re going to move up then we need to learn to handle these situations to benefit us the most.

JT24
If this is how they want to play I’m more than happy to see the price rise. £5m each day closer we get to the start of the season seems fair.
Paully
I said when it was announced that 8pm on a bank holiday Monday was mental as there’s been a bit bother last few seasons between us and them and after this carry on…….good luck NP! Isak and Liverpool have acted like utter twats - hope they both rot!

He (or his agent) has clearly fucked us over. Extract as much money as we can (hopefully north of £135m), and let’s get some players who actually want to play for us who can score goals, with good injury records. Aye just get it done for as much as possible. Newcastle will move on without Isak. It should in theory put us in fantastic position financially too, we were apparently in a very strong position before the sale so this should hopefully set us up for a strong couple of years if we’re smart about it. Someone dirt cheap but young whose guaranteed us a load of goals in the premier league as well, if we held out for that we’d be looking at going into the season with no replacements, ah hold on that’s exactly where we are at. Something needs to change and if nothing does change then all that will change will be our league position. I’ve made my position clear. He gets told to stay it’s happened may times over the years (modric, Gerrard, Suarez, Rooney) to name a few then we have a year to scout and plan his replacement. We should not be bowing down to anyone and giving ourselves only 4 weeks to replace him. Wanna be a big club? Fuckin act like a big club

Shadow Puppets
6 minutes ago, ponsaelius said: You're never getting any financial return on at all Ollie Watkins. He's here 3-4 years until the end of his contract and he leaves for a nominal fee ala Wilson. If both CF signings are 28/29 age bracket and for nigh on £100 million it's basically FFP suicide. We can't afford to do that. We have to mostly target players in the right age bracket, who can both contribute straight away but that can also be elevated - and accept every now again some will be sold and we go again. It's what has got us this success so far and it's what could sustain the club going forward. If he scores 15-20 goals a season for the next couple of years and it fires us into Europe again, and we cash in for £25m-£30m, isn’t that a risk worth taking, PSR or no PSR. Also, who knows what the landscape looks like in terms of PSR in 2-3 years time. Who’s to say the rules aren’t relaxed slightly and/or we have a bigger commercial income so it matters less? Pandamninator
3 minutes ago, Decky said: What is the significance of a transfer request? What does it change about the deal? Players commonly have a Loyalty bonus paid out across the life of their contract in instalments. If a player is sold they will get the remainder of the bonus as a lump sum on the way out. However if the player requests a transfer and leaves that is voided and they don't get anything extra. Edited August 1, 2025 by Pandamninator
Wandy
12 minutes ago, Emotic said: Lowball bid on a Friday just to stir the pot - proves to everyone that they "mean business". The player in question sees the light at the end of the tunnel and digs in his heels. The weekend lets the atmosphere stew and get more toxic due to their pet journos stirring the pot with the claim that he's told our senior players to FO. Just making sure that his position with us becomes more and more untenable and then return with a 5 mil bump next Friday etc. Exactly this. It’s devious work from the Scouse cunts. They know the bid would be rejected but the whole point of it is to make the situation even more toxic for NUFC and thus make the player’s rehabilitation less likely. When that £135m up front comes in is when it’s crunch time.
TK-421
If its true about that £60m + £60m offer, then that just tells me that despite Sky/the sport media arsekissers dressing it up how they want, and saying Liverpool can afford to spend this amount this summer because of 'how well run they are', in reality, they cannot afford to lump £100m+ on Isak this summer, so they need to use Klarna for the cunt!
