Surely we knew he wasn’t going straight back to training with the team

Eddie specifically said he had to earn the right to train with the team again.

Even if he was told to stay. No way this cunt would be ready/match fit until half a dozen games in. He’s totally fucked us.

There's no way he's in a squad until after the Liverpool game. Regardless of fitness it would be crazy to do that.

It'll be bench for Leeds, at the earliest.

Big Frank deserves a statue for this one ;D - Only bit of cheer I had this week was seeing how many muppets he caught out

Unreal, sure I saw that George Galloway fell for it amongst others. My boss at work in Glasgow messaged me to ask if it was real ffs

Why? A Newcastle player playing for Newcastle shouldn't do so because we're playing the team that tried to sign him?

Fuck that, if he's fit he starts. Especially given the alternative.

Not that I really use it, but it popped up on my MSN insights bar this morning. Knew it would be fake....didn't take much to connect the dots to Frank :)

It's family fun day here at Darsley Park.

We've got 'On Target with Matt Targett', 'Trips' Any Hole is a Goal', 'Botman: Injuries Return' and 'Isak the Snake'

Oh well.

As much as the market has been impossibly tough for us, Isak should be kicking himself for his part in things. There was a path to a transfer but by being so vocal and throwing his toys out he massively weakened our position and forced a lot of our business out into the public and made it immeasurably harder to get stuff done.

Fair play to Eddie for staying strong. It's going to be a long road back.

I absolutley love Eddie Howe me. I know every fan is different in terms of emotional levels of attachment, but I rarely if ever try and get emotionally invested in footballers for the exact reasons Isak has shown. I know they're humans too and their careers are short but they don't half act like spoilt brats at the best of times. They're clearly not (and never have been) the heroes and Gods you thought they were when you were growing up watching them as a kid.

The only two I'd be genuinley gutted if we were to lose them would be Howe and Bruno. Bruno isn't as good as Isak or Tonali for example, but he's completley invested in us and he's really bought into everything at Newcastle.

One of the least palatable lessons that I had to deal with in life was that people do not always behave well when large amounts of money are at stake.

So Isak is on the naughty step for a few days, then gets reintegrated and starts playing again?

Better than selling him for Sesko.

Both the club and Isak himself have no other options to be honest.

No idea how the crowd will react if he plays for us again. I’d prefer him to fuck off, but I’ve never booed a Newcastle player, not even Boomsong.

Serves no purpose by booing him. Can you imagine he plays against those red scouse twats 1st home game and we are booing him while they sing his name. They’ll be singing in support of him anyway. We may not want to but, he’d be our player and we’d need to support him.

The following season when he comes in their colours it’ll be absolute open season.
