Exactly. Ornstein hasn't really said anything we didn't already know, but unless Liverpool are going to smash transfer fee records, they aren't getting him. Eales made a point this week specifically saying we aren't selling.

I'm almost certain Liverpool are after someone else that they're trying to hide from other teams.

 

All this noise about them being in for Isak is starting to seem more of a smoke screen.

 

I just cannot see them spending over £100 million on one player, and being this loud about it.

 

That Michael Edwards they got back in house is too clever in the market for that.

 

Gyokeres, Osimhen, Thuram all have release clause less than £70 million this summer.

 

Almost certain it will be one of them.

My complete guesswork is that Isak will probably be told of the summer plans and a large recruitment operation to really push the club on. I think that and Europa league might be enough to keep him for another year (particularly as many might not be able to afford him anyway) whereby we might then qualify for the champions league the year after.

Maybe he enjoys it here and is able to process the evidence of Howe bringing his game on leaps and bounds. 
 

Fairly convinced this is the press doing their usual thing before one of the establishment clubs plays an outsider in the final.

I generally don’t get attached to players, they come and go and it can be foolish to put too much faith in them. I remember Waddle, Beardsley and Gazza leaving. Carrol hurt because it was such a pointless sale and he could have been so much with us. I’d be fucking incandescent if Isak was sold to one of those ESL6 clubs, even worse if it was one of the red ones.

It's sickening it really is , the cartel have made these rules that basically means we will never be allowed to pay him what he's worth despite having the money to do so. This means we will have to sell him and not only make ourselves weaker but strengthen a team we want to compete with , makes you wonder what the point of it all is.
