Fulham vs. Newcastle United - 1/10/22 @ 3pm (No UK TV)

Recommended Posts

This will be another tough game, we could do with a win badly just to try and gain some momentum as we are becoming draw specialists this (early) season.

I'd definitely take a draw like, although we are due a good performance at some point soon.

I probably would too, but I’d fear another draw would be more damaging than promising. The good thing is we now know our manager will go there to try and win and as a result we will always have a chance. My nephew and brother in law will be there, supporting Fulham, but happy if the Toon win.

Fulham look very handy, so I get the sentiment, but there's absolutely no way I'd be taking a draw here. We're more than capable of winning.

Yep. We can't keep taking draws, we've already drawn 5 out of 7 so far this season and it's cementing us in mid-table. We need a couple of wins, and Fulham are the sort of side we should have a good chance of beating.

Agreed.

If we had beaten Palace and Bournemouth.  Then a draw here wouldn't be too bad.  But whilst performances on the whole have been pretty good, when factoring everything in.  We are a few points behind where we should be already.

Those early VAR fuckups have really adversely affected our momentum and psyche I think.

We were on a real roll at the end of last season but I think those VAR decisions have hit the team’s belief hard.

Injuries haven’t helped mind but I think there’s a mentality element to it too.

We need something to kickstart the good feelings back into existence again.

I don't think we should be worrying too much about points total, we've been unlucky not to get more. Just need to focus on getting the performances right and getting people fit.

The lack of creativity the last two home games is a worry, for me.  But then I would say that is more linked to the players that are missing.  So hopefully we can turn these draws into wins with 2-3 back in the team.

Definitely, unfortunately there's a massive drop-off from our good players to our Championship players.

I guess we do need to find a way to score goals when Bruno and ASM are out, but not sure exactly how that can be done
