They had a headline the other night along the line of "Ten men Liverpool come from behind to beat Southampton"

Fully expect the BBC to do a sit down interview with a section of Heysel Stadium wall, absolving Liverpool fans of their actions.

64 teams is a better format than 48 mind.

Tournaments in multiples of 12 are horrendous. Europe and Africa should move to 32 and the World Cup should be 64 if we don't want 32. Small countries are decent now, I don't think any tournament would have markedly worse competition than the bastardised 24 and 48 team versions.

32 team World Cup and 16 team Euros were perfect, stop fucking about with the formats ffs.

Agree 100%, but...

more games, more tickets, more fans, more tv money, more adverts, more interest, more teams, more hype = more money. And that's all that seems to matter. Money wins

Smashed his skull off a brick wall surrounding the pitch as did that other lad not so long ago. RIP.

Jesus. RIP.

So someone had done similar previously and they made no changes at all?

Utter dogshit article from Balague. Trying to make concrete inferences about someone’s character based on societal and environmental factors without considering it might be down to just individual differences. He references that Messi and Ronaldo were massively different but doesn’t seem to make the link there that it’s down to individual differences. Journalists love to get high off their own supply

Aye, was really recently too albeit at a different club. You’d like to think there’ll be changes implemented now with the FA funding it.

Ah.  I read it as it happened twice at the same ground but makes it less surprising (but no less awful) that it's been ignored if it was two separate locations. Definitely needs to be changes though when that article says the stadium was classed as completely up to standard.
