Going on the Jill Scott and female pundits debate, honestly that lass who does the YouTube videos should get a chance, although no doubt the TV networks would do the best to make her into a cunt.

Imagine her insight over Leanne Sanderson, and Aluko?

Fuck imagine her insight over Carragher, or even as a co-commentator over Alan Smith?

I'm just glad I'm a white male so whatever I do I'm unlikely to be written off as a tick box exercise, even if I haven't represented my country 161 times. Also there's a chance Roy Keane might not just talk over the top of me if I ever meet him.

Finally, boss! Someone in football has said something about Jill Scott being ignored on The Overlap! I can finally print this little article to stoke more divisive debate about women in football, for both sides to feast on!

Yeah but who's the footballer?

Erm, 'Demetri Mitchell'?

Who?

Dunno. We've got a pic of him in a Man Utd shirt though. He's definitely a real footballer.

That'll do, go to print.

In a rare turnaround, I’m actually welcoming this international break. Think the players and team need it because of the injuries we’ve had. Going into a break off a couple of wins is huge as well. Think we’ll do Benfica and Brighton then go on a proper run of form

We would defo benefit from an unbroken week on the training pitch however most of the first team will be on international duty.

The main concern after the break is Dan Burn at left back, he looked really vulnerable yesterday. Teams are going to be hammering us down his side.

That’s a good thing though in my opinion, if Hall is only out for a short period then we manage to reduce the number of games Burn plays there. My mate was saying yesterday that Trippier LB, Botman LCB, Schar RCB and Thiaw RB would give more balance and I agree but I don’t think Howe would ever drop Burn from LB for Trippier unless he moved him to LCB

Finding the BBC Sport’s churn of articles on the “big” clubs pathetic, us included. Just constant articles that have fuck all content or insight. I can just ignore them but I think it’s a pathetic journalistic output for how it focuses on the biggest teams with the most money

It's basically functioning like a commercial entity now rather than a public service. You'll have probably seen from my previous posts, the BBC now have a policy of promoting the 'big' PL clubs (esp Liverpool it seems), and now have journalists dedicated to each one (who in the case of Liverpool, is also a fan). The other clubs don't drive enough clicks so are an afterthought

Much like all ‘journalism’ these days it’s very much just slop for clicks. I know I’m probably not their target audience but the absolute dross you see Sky promoting is mind blowing. Even the most simple cunt would be hard pressed to want to read or engage with it.
