So pardew got the most out of players and he’s the problem?

The best thing about this is Isak wasn’t even nominated, yet acted as if he was top of that list, we were paid like he was top of that list, he’s the English record transfer. He is worth more than nearly all of that list; yet his international teammate made the shortlist and other strikers who aren’t even close to being better than him for us. 
 

if he was still with us if I’d be outraged, and I’ll say this one last thing - fuck the voters, press and the world of football for pushing his move out of Newcastle making us look like pricks when I don’t see a word out there outraged that “arguably the worlds best striker” isn’t even on that list.

What's the source on this? Internet search returns some stories mostly from Isaeli or Arabic sources about a initiative lead by Qatar, nothing concrete.

 

I would expect this to be a fairly big story, but there's nothing at the Guardian or Athletic...

I have to say that I have never really had an interest in the balloon d’or. It just always seems to be given to the favourite player, accomplishments never actually seem to get a mention.

The fact that kids and engagement farming accounts seem to just bait others and fawn over it doesn’t help either.
