Another game where the pundits are banging on about how bad the opposition are. I mean they were bad but this is what this Newcastle team does to other teams, makes them make mistakes.

I think it's fair enough here like

'Surviving Bruce'

Should be a movie made with that title. Starring Schar, Joelinton, Longstaff and Willock ;D

And us!

Bruno probably upset because he’s never seen Eddie gan full radge before.

I've seen a different camera angle that shows the lead up.

Bruno asked if Howe could sign Paqueta if West Ham go down now and Eddie said 'No chance'.

Is it too early to say that signing someone like Rice could make us title contenders along with a few more additions? Thought he was impressive despite the scoreline especially in the short spell in the 1st half.

Rice replacing Longstaff would be an amazing upgrade

but it wouldn’t have been a goal without VAR!

I celebrated until I saw the flag, exactly as I would have when that used to happen before VAR.

Harsh to put anything on VAR when it came to our rescue like.

It might've been a goal without VAR, like; that's impossible to know. He might've just kept his flag down and it's correctly adjudged to be a goal without the assistance of TV refs.

I don't think it came to our rescue, necessarily. My assumption is that the lino's unsure and so the raising of the flag is basically "can you double check this please, lads?"

Anyway, sorry, I shouldn't be sparking a VAR debate on a night like this.

This is a far cry from opening day last season where we started well but Bruce’s lack of fitness training kicked in and the team gassed out after half time and lost 4-2 to West Ham after leading 2-0

It's so true, even Utd felt it last week, their manager wanted to cry over them not being hungry, truth is yes we were hungry, but we were fitter, stronger, and together.

Eddie seemed to be checking in with him, and Bruno looked almost hangry he was so intense. Maybe just needs his post workout meat pie or something

Maybe he just felt sorry for his mate Paqueta?
