His passing isn’t that bad when he takes a bit more time and care. The one first half when we had 2-3 over and just pinged it straight to Konate first time from miles away. So infuriating. Left Wirtz unmarked on the edge of the box and also failed to defend another one by ball watching and not tracking the right man quickly enough. Tonali is 26th in the PL in terms of mins played by midfielders. Szloboslai, Wirtz and Gravenberch - who all played against us - have all played a lot more mins than Tonali this season and I haven’t seen this excuse offered up for them. He’s been shite for a while and is completely out of form, yet we’ll pick him every time regardless. The problem is players being undroppable. He showed last season he can be one of the best midfielders in the league. We'd be crazy to consider selling a player of this calibre. He needs a soft reset, somehow, as many others in this team.
