I can't believe I'm saying this but at this point I'm thinking I'd half be ok with taking Nunez and £100m for Isak.

Remember kids, this is why we say NO to drugs

It’s going to come to a point that after this weekend and a striker has not been brought in the leadership group Bruno, Burn etc will be asking serious questions why we are going into a season with no recognised striker on the books (assuming Isak is off)

Unless they are actively trying to destroy what’s been built, it’s extremely extremely unlikely that they would sell Isak without any replacement in.

This is disgusting.

Top 6 spend (£1.1bn)

The other 14 (£712m)

No wonder the top 6 love PSR, and this pattern of spending will only get worse thanks to a bloated Champions League and lucrative Club World Cup.

Would happily see all these smug Sky 6 fans permanently fuck off into a Super League tbh. No one would miss them

I mean, I wouldn’t be against taking Nunez for £30m as a Wilson replacement I suppose… So it wouldn’t be a disastrous deal…

I’ll refer to my previous comments about Darwizzy but on that list of who has spent you absolutely can’t lump all the clubs together as one. Yes they earn more due to historical reasons but their ability to spend now is completely different at each.

Like...have we been blacklisted?

Finding it really hard to believe that we're this shit at this.

 I'd respect the blacklist hustle if the same fucking teams weren't frothing at the gash to take Saudi money from the Saudi league.

The blacklisting wouldn't be because of ethical reasons

Eh, you haven't been awake since the takeover? We've been blacklisted since the rule changes came in right after the takeover.

Ultimately the club spread both cheeks and just accepted it though.

Ive literally been posting about this since then  I didn't expect the class ceiling to manifest itself in this way though.

Can't do it. @Mike already wanted me to smash my friends face in when he suggested 110M + Nunez was a good deal [emoji38]

Edit: can't quote the right post but too pissed to fix it [emoji38]

When does the strategy pivot happen? We've been very ambitious this window but been left with fuck all.

The squad can not go into this season as is, it'd be completely unacceptable & negligent - something has to give. Don't want to hear anything further about 'small pools' after we've signed Ramsdale as well.

We can start by laying down the law with Isak. Get your fucking boots on, lad. If you want out soon, you've got to do your bit.

Calm your tits Septic Peg, I'm only talking about our failed transfers 2024 onwards.

Just get numbers in at this point.

Scalvini and Thiaw

Paqueta and Gallagher

Wissa and Ramos

Literally we probably need this level of window to be competitive and to be able to handle CL. 5-6 more players on top of Elanga and Ramsdale

This window is more about us trying to chase players we aren't really going to get.

Seems like lack a bit of nouce in the market, or we have some hubris internally.

quite brutal Sunderland spent much more than us so far in this window and PL kicks off in 10 days. would have not believed this early summer...

We would have also if the plan had been to spend money also on players no other club were interested in

Top 6 have played an absolute blinder.

One window and they’ve managed to set us back multiple seasons.

We were one good window away (this summer) from challenging for the title.

now we’re three to five seasons away all of a sudden

I find it hard to believe that the targets themselves are the problem when most of them fit right in with the coups we've already pulled off plenty of times up until June last year.

Anything is possible but the bottom line is that something has changed in our ability to get deals done.
