NUFC Transfer Rumours

Jee whizz, can we go one summer transfer window without signing one of Eddie's pals from Bournemouth? We can't plead PSR poverty and then spunk untold fortunes on the likes of Wissa, Elanga and Solanke.

Don't tell me for one second that we have nobody at the club capable of identifying a younger, cheaper alternative from elsewhere?

Don’t think Wissa and Elanga ever played for Bournemouth.

I like him, think he's a Howe striker and would get us 15-20 in the league.

I know you're optimistic but come on, we need better than him. Fuck knows who though.

We could get picked apart in the summer, Tonali, Livramento, Gordon, I could see them all being sold to help with the massive rebuild that's needed. I can also see Wolf going to Bayern in a cut price deal. Bleak summer ahead.

I know hes done his ACL but would/could we revisit the Samu lad at Porto or too risky following injury?

Seems crazy to spend 120m+ on strikers and still feel like we are now playing without a recognised Striker most of the season.

For the record I still have faith in big Wolfy, he's clearly not a midfielder but play him up front and give him some decent service ffs. It's his first season in English footie and he's bagged about ten goals, I don't think that's too bad considering the service he's been getting. You also have to remember that he isn't actually a 69 million pound player,he's a 40-50 million pound player that we overpaid for due to the rat money, same as Wissa who we played about 20 million above true market value for.

Would want a big salary too.

Big fat NO from me and very much hope it’s the media putting 2 and 2 together and getting 334.

I think it's probably lazy journalism, but you can sort of understand it, Eddie does tend to go in long term on players he admires.

Swap for Kane. Not bothered if he breaks Shearer's record if that means he's banging in 25 per season for us for a while. Records are meant to be broken.

I'd be amazed if we let four first team players leave in one summer.

Being linked to all these premier league players again, doesn’t fill me with confidence, that we’ve learned our lesson. Just hope they’re no more than ru ours and not based on any sort of reality.

Could be that any transfer links this early is just waffle without any substance.

This is what I’m hoping, but constant links to average premier league players does have me worried.

I rate Solanke quite highly as a modern day centre forward, but with his injury record and the fact that he is almost 29 with the fee and wages that will be involved, it is a big no from me.

As for players from teams at the bottom, the main ones of interest to me are Gibbs-White, Anderson, Matheus Fernandes, Hugo Bueno, Mane and Bergvall. Could be the year to look to do this again because some big names are going to go down, last year was slim pickings!

We've been closely tracking emerging talents in South America for five years now.

Still monitoring - takes a while
