Standard fare, given our business for the summer has all but finished, how would you rate this summer's transfer window.

Poll above.

1 = The absolute worst, the hell where we thinking.

10 = Amazing, couldn't have been any better.

Would've been an 8.5 or potentially a 9 but for Botmans injury highlighting how necessary a new CB actually was.

Went for 8 in the end as I think we've got 2 top tier signings in and arguably 2 who could end up being top tier.

Too early to say, but if I had to evaluate right now it would probably be an 8.

Main concerns for me are lack of depth at CB + the question of whether a specialist 6 or a more creative attacking player represent missed opportunities.

Impossible to cover everything though and very happy with the business we've done.

7 happy we have thought long term and also added depth to squad.

Big money spent again but took a 1st team squad player to do it.

Still areas of concern which is impossible to address when we are rebuilding and conforming to ffp.

Next season big rebuild still needed does Wilson get moved on or stick around? CB positions and RW based on how the player sale market has gone fee wise not sure its all achievable without another big player sales as the fringe or surplus to requirement players aren't going to cover much in terms of recovering fees.

It's a solid 7.5 for me. A quality RW/AM, RCB, and maybe ASM staying away from a 10 - although that's likely an impossibility. I'd also have it a bit higher if I had the forsight to know that the signings that have the potential to be absolute quality, end up turning out that way.

For me it breaks down something like this:

Effort: 10
Professionalism: 10

Player potential: 10

Player's known, existing quality: 7

Positional coverage: 6

Outgoings: 6

For right now it's a 7. We only recruited one starter in Tonali. I think we needed one more to make a difference.

Tino & Hall are exciting for the future...and I'm still not sold selling ASM and paying more for Barnes was the correct decision.

If the maxi fee had of been more 50m than the 20ish we supposedly got and it supported 2 40/50m signings then it would have settled better with me. Right now on the face if it we got Barnes.

Going down the route of premier league premium the majority of the time also limits how much we spend and right now we arent sure if its a gamble that will pay off.

8 for me.

Don't think more players would've upped this number, if anything probably knocked it down.

Would've preffered to swap two of the younger signings (say livra and hall) for another Tonali level, but still good signings long term.

We might actually be better off boosting the squad overall though, so we can get to the point we can just splash on one or two elite players. Like next summer, we could just go with a top RW and RCB and I'd be very happy with something like that.

9 for me.

I’ve still got question marks over the ASM for Barnes transfer but I guess it was necessary to also open up the ability to sign Livramento.

We’re rolling the dice a bit on a cb but hopefully we get through until January.

In terms of overall business I don’t think we could have expected too much more.

I do like all the signings we’ve made, but for me we should have prioritised a proper defensive midfielder and a quality RW.

This also obviously contrasts against the owner’s long-term plans, as illustrated through the signings of Hall and Livramento, but I do think we could have done with more proven European experience in the squad, even on loan deals, just so we can navigate the pressures in these competitions.

Probably 6.5 for me, let's round it to 7 for slight optimism.

Only Tonali has been added to the first XI, unfortunately. Barnes/ASM cancels each other out, whilst Livramento and Hall are superb prospects with an eye on the future.

We're absolutely gagging for a CB and RW though.

7/10 for me. Tonali and Barnes look like being cracking signings for what we paid, plus hopefully in Livramento and Hall we have our future first choice full backs sorted.

Downside is we still look weak in the RW position and we have no real quality cover at CB.

8 for me , we won’t be top 4 again this season but still think we be top 6. We couldn’t really have done much more with FFP and fancy us to have a decent cup run .  We could finish 10th and I would still trust in Eddie 100%.

8 for me - it is evident that they are still sticking to the original 3-5 year plan - Europe is a welcome addition but there could never have been lavish additions because of FFP - I think they will set out to enjoy the experience but will not be thinking hey we could shake the foundations here. It will be a case of do what we can and even take two steps backwards to go three forwards in the future - by which I mean they will not see finishing outside European places next year as a disaster. They will methodically add in the positions we need with younger players and I fully expect European football to be a regular occurrence in 3 years time. Slowly slowly catchee monkey and all that.
