Clearly we need to get our succession planning done for the first two and this summer is absolutely the time to do that. But we're not exactly on life support here. My issue is waiting until the first week in august, in what's been a disastrous summer, to start negotiating with the biggest bellend in football. The idea that Parish will in any way let us have Guehi for anything other than a robbery on their part is ludicrous. He'd rather let Guehi go to Liverpool for free next summer than sell to us for a reasonable price. While im sure Guehi is interested in a move, hes going to cost alot more in wages than 12 months ago, since if he waits a year he will get what he wants from who he wants. I just see this one at all. He is so close to getting a bumper contract at a regular champs league club if he waits a few more months - would be insane to come to us right now.
