Really good tracking back, too. Only time he seemingly wants to use his pace.
Mikky
He’ll be fine - it’s not as if he’s being coached by a dud - he isn’t as bad as being made out - slowly but surely you’ll see the best of him
1892er
Think someone mentioned on here they wished he'd make his mind up what foot to use. Seems like he just wants to use his left for the sake of it at times. He will get better but no sugar coating it, he's been pretty shite.
Astroblack
Just not suited for our side. Can we sell him for 30 mil or something? Seen enough, cut our losses.
Wilson
I think he'll come good, feels like a confidence thing although his nack of not making runs you know he's capable of is frustrating as fuck. He needs backed not slated right now.
CallumG6
I thought he looked alright tonight to be fair.
Yorkie
He had some decent moments but lots of poor ones as well. Definitely feels like we're waiting for him to prove his worth but it's still very early days. I trust the manager to get the best out of him. A classic case of a player needing time to play a completely different style, intensity and different players - it will come good for him
Jack14Bojangles
Elanga has been a huge disappointment so far. He's been a complete flop. In the starting eleven, Murphy or Barnes would be a much better choice.
Holloway
he'll become another effective option

He’s out there trying, calling for the ball, telling the other dudes what he wants. He’s not hiding, which is a great sign. He’ll eventually play himself into form along with playing himself into the structure of the team.
Geordie Ahmed
His confidence looks shot to me, playing like he's carrying the weight of the world in his shoulders I do believe he'll come good, just needs that first goal/assist and I think we'll start to see him kick on
Kid Icarus
Thought he looked miles better tbh. We've seen him not get the final ball right or get it right and the other player doesn't finish all while not looking like he really fits, not looking right in our patterns of play etc. Tonight the final ball had the same issues, but in terms of him fitting in the team he looked much better. So many times he wasn’t played in over the top too.

He just needs a confidence boost, the sooner the better.

ExiledGeordie
He’s struggling but he’ll come good, confidence will gradually increase, he’s got a good set of coaches to work with him too.
McDog
Every mistake it's "See he's shite". He isn't, not that he had a great game but let Eddie work with him. He has some real tools, albeit mostly physical. Edited October 29, 2025 by McDog
Astroblack
I have a few issues with him. He stays glued to the touchline. Compare that to Gordon who chases and harries opposition defenses. He tries but fails to beat his opposition full back. Nick's not the quickest but he does give pressing a go, I don't think I've ever seen Elanga drift into the middle and press a Centerback and help Nick out. I can't remember him taking many shots either. Early days but I'm not liking what I'm seeing. Unless we're playing against a team that is possession oriented, I don't want to see him play.
