If you're not convinced nothing is going to change that, so there's no point going back and forth.

Everything that can be said has been said already.

If he comes in, once the games start being played, then we'll all see how it plays out.

 do you have to be argumentative about everything? The fact I said sell it to me suggests I’m open to being convinced. Your manner on here is tiresome

Aye, the forest fans are worried so that tells us more than anything, well certainly more than some of the nonsense on here

How am I arguing?

Just said we won't know until the games are played!

What on Earth?! [emoji38]

There's been so many posts with people giving reasons why they think it will work, but they're just ignored, so until the guy steps on the pitch, I just don't believe anything else is going to convince anyone that isn't sold yet

I work in Nottingham with a load of season ticket holders and they love him

Question.

If Isak is very keen on the idea of Elanga joining and would like to play with him at club level, and thinks they'd link up very well at Newcastle, how much do you think that should be taken into account?

And should it factor in when it comes to whatever decision is made on this? So for example, perhaps pushing the boat out a little bit more to the tune of another £5 to £10 million?

It should be taken incredibly seriously.

I don’t tend to read much on here unless things have progressed. I simply don’t have the time. It’s as simple as that. My recollection from watching him I wasn’t impressed and he wasn’t the big RW signing we all crave but as I say I’m open to having my mind changed.

I’m still thinking they’ll need to add another 5. It would be nice to have someone that can take a decent free kick or corner, ours have been pretty dodgy for a while.

Okay, that's fair enough.

And even then, if there are others that won't be convinced until he puts in performances for the club, that's perfectly fine too!

Nothing wrong with that either.

For those saying the signing doesn't take us to the next level

For us to do that we don't necessarily need someone that is far, far better than Murphy

Someone that is younger and slightly better means our squad is significantly better for it, a few more signings like that and it can collectively take us to the next level

Whether or not I think he is that RW worldie we all thought we'd be getting, to solidify us as league challengers (I don't, but he is a decent addition)... I'm just happy as I think the teams been crying out for another headgear wearing player since we lost Maxi.

Hopefully he gets creative with some toon related patterns.

We basically need someone who can replicate Murphy's form from this season but every season rather than just a purple patch

Hopefully Elanga is that - Murph will still have a big part to play

He’ll be a superb signing - don’t forget, holding midfielders were going for double this price two years ago!
