I'm not sure I agree, it would be madness to let him go without a replacement, they'd basically be asking for relegation. If they're unable to bring a striker in, they'll gamble on being able to get him to come back with his tail between his legs IMO, that is the less risky option for them in that scenario. Ikon
Nothing says that they’ll accept 45m.
Smal
would be grateful if they price us out of this one tbh
Geordie Ahmed
I think £40m is more than fair all things considered Obviously they dictate the price so they are absolutely entitled to reject it but we should absolutely move on Let's work on a deal to get Jackson, not having a striker is simply unacceptable if the window closes
Kimbo
Hard to believe we’ve managed to spend a month and a half on this and Brentford haven’t even given us a number. We’ve got 12 days left, just let it go.

Hes our only viable option. Get it done. Breakout season at 28 is worrying though
gdm
£40m is the absolute limit we should be spending on a player his age, one year left on his contract and virtually no resale value

Downward spiral? G/A every 100 mins last season in Prem ffs, with a near impeccable injury record. With a World Cup coming up, he’s going to be as hungry as he ever has been to get to that as well. Jonas
Jackson seems increasingly less of a concern the more the price and the bollocksing around goes up for Wissa.
matta
Move along, not worth 60.
Kimbo
Looking at this objectively, Brentford would be dumb to sell. They need his goals to survive and there’s no replacement out there for him, they’re getting linked to Maupay ffs.
Skeletor
Really never thought I'd be coming round to the idea of Jackson but we are that desperate now. If a £10m loan (with obligation) can get it done then just do it.

Gallowgate Toon
Meh, he's been going on like a dick & he's tiny. Move on. Jackson + Sorloth.
Miggys First Goal
Acting like Isak. Don’t want. Move on.
HaydnNUFC
Would go up to a max of £45m but would move on if they turn that down. No idea who the fuck we could move on to mind but yi kna. Edited August 20, 2025 by HaydnNUFC

No who the fuck we could move on to mind but yi kna. That’s where I’m at with it. We could recoup a lot back from KSA and take a small financial hit like with Chris Wood. Will be worth it for his contributions across the next couple of years I imagine.

Stottie
We can afford 10m more easily if we declare Isak must hand in a transfer request. Make him pay for the mess he has created. Fair play to Brentford, who are fine by me as long as it does not involve lies to string us along.
Dyeyzzon
Think 40m is fair - call their bluff for the higher price given that it's just a year left. Any higher, I say move on.
NSG
The absolutely maximum we should go is £40m up front. Sounds like the £5m add ons were difficult to achieve. Just offer them the £40m and give them til the end of today to respond. If they reject then move on.
oldtype
I get the feeling that their asking price is always going to be "our offer + 10m"
Willow
£40m plus £5m add-ons would be a fair final offer in my opinion. Anything higher would be daft.
