People only want El Khannous because they've watched a YouTube video of him doing a few turns and passes in tight areas [emoji38]

There isn't much to suggest he's better than Ramsey.

A bit presumptuous to suggest people didn’t watch Premier League games last season. He’s hardly a random European name and was a bright spark in an awful Leicester team.

I'm sorry that my blatantly tongue in cheek comment was presumptuous [emoji38]

El Khannous looks really exciting, but there's still little to suggest he's better than Ramsey. I would be excited if we signed him though.

It looks like Villa are in a bit of financial trouble with PSR. That incorrect refereeing decision against Man U in the final game has probably cost them dearly.

Of all the players we've been linked with in the summer, Ramsey is the one that I feel most pleased about. I think he's a very good all-round midfielder.

You mean the extremely correct decision where the Villa player viciously stamps on the keepers hand?

Think you don't get much for £40m (or whatever it is with addons) anymore, if this had come on the back of a good season, Villa would be asking what they would want for Rodgers.

There's a quality player in there if we're lucky and can bring it out of him, we can't afford to spend the amount it would require for players that have fulfilled their potential, or haven't had a dip.

Another example of how broken football is, who wouldn't want to have kept Anderson and Villa keep Ramsey. But gotta trade for that PSR/Net Transfer Spend.

Villa fans seemed to have mixed reactions about him leaving, echoing what was said here about injuries taking their toll on him and not meeting expectations last season, hopefully Howe will be able to help him regain his form.

They are far unhappier about him leaving than we were about Longstaff going or we would be about Willock leaving.

A lot of people getting hung up on the fee. Sadly this is just the way football is these days, though it does seem to have gone up a notch this Summer. £40m is the new £15m.

Really good signing who will improve under Howe.

Mostly worried about his injury record. 3 hamstring injuries by the age of 24 doesn't bode well. On the positive side he's been injury free since december, but on the other hand he hasn't played a full match since october which indicates that his playing time needs to be carefully managed in order to keep him healthy.

Looks like this is getting done QUICK!!

Makes a nice change and hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

The Ramsey, Thiaw and Ramsdale deals have all been pretty swift after the story breaking.

Just realised that if this goes through then at some point we'll have Gordon Ramsey down the left hand side and Peter Drury will do something about what they're cooking. Michelin Starred machiavellians or some shite.

The only deals that got strung out in the full glare of publicity were those where the red bastards became involved, I wonder why that is.......hmmmmm

He’s played at least 3 x 90 mins since October.

If only we signed Morgan Gibbs White we could also have a cheap knock off of Marco Pierre White

I’m more worried about his form over the last 2 seasons than injuries.

If he can recapture the form of 22/23 then we have a great player on our hands, but we can say the same about Willock.

Hopefully the positional move in to the centre helps him get back to his best.
